Showering daily is only really necessary if you get dirty and sweaty on a daily or nearly daily basis. I do physical labor for my job, so 5 nights out of the week I am taking a hot shower in the evening so I don't go to bed covered in sweat and dirty and grease and get my bed sheets all filthy.Euros don't really work hard at all, the ones who even have jobs, so it doesn't surprise me they can get away with not showering or bathing for a few days at a time, or even only once a week if that. I shower 3 times a week on average and there is absolutely no point in showering more often than that unless the weather is unusually humid or I have a fever or something like that. Nobody has ever told me I smell, I don't look dirty or feel dirty even if it's been 48 hours since my last shower.
