>>525840644>Americans and Russians are SMOOSHING EuropeansThe problem is not that they are forcing Europe to unite, the situation around 2015 was already about Federalization and several models were discussed, and by 2022 it was moving towards the two things that federalize the most: Taxes and security, with a 10 year window.The real problem is that Europe, to work as we understand it right now, cannot federalize because there are still too many differences, for example, you cannot expect for the mentality of French or Germans with minimum or average wages at around 2000€ to understand that forcing electric cars make barely any sense on bulgarians that average 1300€. Or for Polish people to understand the Friend-enemy relationship Southern Europe has with Northern Africa or for Portugal to understand that Russia is an ever present threat.The point of the Union was to slowly homogenize these differences and put every country at the same level, but right now it is not ready. And forcing this can only create strife and tensions. Which for Russia, wonderful a disunited Europe is a golden ticket for its Eastern European interests, but the US? That is what eludes me, why there is this big push from the US to force the European project into a full single country while creating the conditions for it to crash and burn.
