The last police action the PLA did with the UN, they lost to militia in the Sudan. They would lose so many people taking it that it's likely the CCP would fall as a result. Even if they can stomach losing hundreds of millions of civilians, the US will shut off their international trade, and they are net negative in food and energy. The entire Chinese grid would likely be dark in a month, maybe two. Starvation would start in weeks.
