Wolves actually have a taste for some of the animals they hunt and really don't actively hunt a human. They fill up on field mice, rabbits and squirrels whereas a mountain lion will ignore smaller creatures for bigger game and focus on that. Just remember if there is a heard of sheep, deer or cattle the wolves will go after that over a hiker. A mountain wont care, they will stalk and track a human for days if they think its worth killing. And if they have their cubs around, you are their sole focus. Whereas wolves will pick up their pups and move to avoid you.
