>>525860625Idk I hear about fentanyl a lot (mostly from here desu) read about it and almost all of it would stop with Mexico on paper. The cartels could easily just break off into central America and the US overextends while they set up somewhere else, they're not exactly tied down in Mexico and obviously the Mexican government is going to deny affiliation. If Mexico as a whole is corrupt, then the US taking over isn't going to stop drug trafficking and they're sure as hell not going to let the US just set up military police on their territory to snuff them out. The US has no military bases in Mexico at all.

Cartels manufacture the drugs in Colombia and then move it through Mexico to the US. So it’s a very complex chain that would only have one part disrupted by taking action against Mexico.
