One thing I learned on pol over the years is that the Americans are the most selfish people on earth. They consider it a virtue even.They dont care about anything unless it affects them personally. Also they have no real principles. What they say they believe in today they will contradict tomorow and if you bring up that fact to their attention, and you factually state in precisely what way they are now going against what they once said they stood for, they will bring up the old "whataboutism" to deflect their total lack of standards and instead bring up something the other 'side' did 5, 10, 20 years ago.
