My dad is from Rwanda and experienced the genocide. That is racism, that is hate. There was so much racist fervor cementing around this idea that the other ethnicity was subhuman that people began to believe it. Villages were raided, peoples hands were lobbed off. People were raped and tortured to death in front of family members. My dad was branded with a symbol that delineates “less than human” on his palm.Imagine thinking this is better than a world of mutual cooperation, trade, and human development. I’m not saying we need a global government, I’m saying let’s lay some basic ground rules so our nations hold basic respect for each other and we don’t let the rhetoric spread out of control so much that it leads to genocide

Problem with being a commie and bringing up "nationalism bad" is that you're instantly outing yourself as an adherent to socialist international where every identity is erased.People won't fall for this so easy, not so soon. Soviets did a lot of this, in their own territories. Shuffling people around, pairing them up with some random person from 4000 miles away from a totally different race and culture. Still it didn't eradicate nationalism.Anyway this praxis is tired and old, you need better stuff. Memes and things.
