Three times in their history the European has utterly conquered them, giving them order, culture, and technology. Each time, a hierarchy is put in place whereby only the lowest caste European could intermingle with the highest caste mud person. >>525893182Skin bleach.India has had a system in place for 1000+ years where the whiter your family is, the more respect you get. They get preferential treatment from employers, social services, and the general public. Of course, this leads to anybody who is remotely white moving out of the country because why live in India if you don't have to. It has also led to Indians being obsessed with whiteness and putting literal bleach on their skin to be less brown, like in Picrel. I feel kind of bad for anyone born into that culture. It's become common to make fun of Indians on the internet, but the people who treat Indians the worst by far, are slightly whiter Indians.
