If anything it’s an improvement because Trump will only appoint someone he believes will lower rates and grow the economy while at the same time he is having the Treasury supplant the Fed with short term bond sales anyway. Trump is waging policy war against the Fed and that’s a good thing, even if the guy he picks isn’t ultimately who we would want.
