Are Russians even allowed to legally protest or is it a very tyrannical country?
>>
>>525923132
Why would they protest? They would if they felt a need to, but they dont because they support Putin against the degenerate globohomo west

Probably an Iran Style currency collapse, but that will never happen in Russia, they can just change over to gold, and whatever currency their trading partners use.

There's a lot of things, like the fact that Putin is spending all of the country's money on a war he's going to lose in Ukraine instead of building roads, schools, hospitals, and industry to create jobs?
>>
>>525923132
Okay. Let us imagine you're Russian for a second. You don't really agree with the current state of affairs and you want change.
If you protest, you want to remove the current leadership and replace it with.... with who?
Its the same as rebublicans vs democrats. Even if you don't like Trump, you still vote for him, because voting blue would be way worse.
In here, you just don't have any other options. Not because they were silenced, prosecuted, btfo'ed. There is simply no options that are objectivly better.
The older generation shills for Putin because of the chaos in the 90s and how the country recovered from this shit state.
The younger generation shills for Putin because they either don't give a shit about politics, or they remember the general attitude towards Russians online coming from NA / EU.
>>
>>525923132
if they about to topple the regime and feel the greed for positions of power and theft opportunities, taking the rich people's homes over night, some even have murderous resentment, they might want to kill Putin's relatives with a small rusty blade.

Unauthorized gatherings are banned. You must get permit to protest, or else police will arrest you. There was a single women picketing outside of MoD building, she was arrested and removed, while single picketing isn't really banned.

Russia is under dictatorship, legal protests are impossible, and illegal wont be tolerated. In general people just passively wait for things to change. Like that case with Wagner uprising, where population in Rostov-on-Don treated them not like some enemies, but as war heroes, their illegal actions were not met with hostility. Mayor and police chiefs escaped the city right away.

If there is faction with actual power and not formed that "ethnic liberals' aka migrant jews, with goal to take power, people will just watch who wins, and they will watch just as passively even if Cucktin will be arrested and taken away right before their very eyes. People know, what in society where everything is under control of authorities - media, internet, bank transactions, they can't do shit, and what remains is treat regime they don't like like winter, and all winters are go away eventually.

Probably severe food shortages or peak levels of incompetency. Like losing war to Azerbaijan. Russians are simply apathetic politically, they are used to the way things are and all post-communist states are fucked politically in general in a sense that there were no real politics, there was lot of shitshow and after fall of Soviet Union politics (and because of that also big portion of economy) was taken over by intelligence agencies. This is big reason why you have oligarchies in these parts. Putin himself was KGB agent. Polish politics are equally bad with most people also being clueless about politics, which you can see even on /pol/ with how many posts with polish flags sound extremely naive.
Normal russians would surely protest if life quality got seriously low, because that's what all people do. Even if they are used to lower living standards and thus have higher pain threshold when it comes to losing nice things, they are still normal people.
As for incompetency being good enough reason, you have to realize that there is subcategory of russians who have severe complex because they cope with their worse standards by taking pleasure in making others suffer. They are fine with living like shit as long as there is someone below them. These are the people who are against Putin because they think nukes should start flying long time ago. They are fine with living without gas pipes to their towns as long as there is someone who fears them.
Also >>525924156
Opposition in Russia is either those who think Putin is too soft, or retards stupid enough to come out with some far left shit because you already have to be top grade retarded to believe tranny shit. All actual, sensible, competent opposition is non-existent and people are too apathetic to even try forming one. You only have military/intelligence factions, see Prigozhin.
Also big talk coming from ameritard who always talks big about muh guns against corrupt politicians, but then nothing happens.

Russia not coming to help despite giving assurances in the past is the same as USA backing off from NATO: just sign of dying empire and losing influence. Nothing new in history, but in this topic it's irrelevant.

>depending on your diffinition of politics, there might be no real internal politics anywhere. I'd say there's no PUBLIC politics in Russia, but in my opinion that's a good thing.
Well, you don't get to learn without practice. I've seen circus with post-commies for most of my life so it's refreshing seeing them slowly losing grip on power to people who actually talk with sense. Obviously when they are invited by independent channels on the internet because old media like TV and radio are complete cancer.
Not having politics means not having electrion whole mess with elections which turn everyone into total whore and clown, neglecting any real work. In that sense Russia has the same potential as any autocratic or close-to-autocratic systems: it can actually plan long-term without need for actual good quality people in the government. Some countries have decent enough politicians to fight between each other, but when it comes to actual interest of the country when it comes to international politics or key public areas, they can agree on continuation of projects even if government switches. In countries like Poland you have 2 retarded tribes which for a long time gladly bombed whatever project other party started the moment they took over the offices. Only recently threat from the east forced those retards to continue at least military projects, but when it comes to economic projects they still are massive retards who should be simply hanged in public.
Only question is whether Putin actually makes use of this potential of autocratic system. Seeing how your country has whole mendeleyew table on its territory, massive natural resources, yet lot of people live like shit in decaying infrastructure, I'm having doubts. I'm assuming he isn't and it's just another oligarchic system where most of the spoils go to the few, and good quality of life is in handful of cities while rest is left to rot.
Though covering such landmass with infrastructure is a challenge.

There are levels of corruption Ivan.

Britain is far from perfect but at least we have the right to protest and we don't outright murder dissidents or political opponents.

I don't live there so I can only base it on whatever I see on the internet. And in a lot of vids I watched I saw unkept buildings, dirt, trash, churkas shitting on white russians etc. And I don't even mean meme places like Norilsk. Just small towns and villages. And I compare it with what I see here. For example few years ago there was project to connect every school and library in country with fiber network. Since base infrastructure to faraway places was already laid anyway during this project, companies decided to expand it a little further into villages for potential clients and now even dying village of like 20 houses near polish-belarussian border where my grandparents live has fiber internet. Can you say the same about faraway villages in Russia? Because ultimately, government's job is to maintain sovereignity so nation could build their path and decide on their standards of living without being kept down by foreign states. But what do I know, maybe russians are simply content with life like that and don't wish for infrastructure so they could for example work remotely while living in comfy countryside where hosuing and land is cheaper than in cities, without traffic jams, dirt and immigrants from churkastans.
