The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where "feed" and "seed" both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's Feeduck and Seeduck".

Turkey is the continuation of the Ottoman Empire.

The Ottoman Empire was like any other empire, it was a mult-ethnic state ruled by a monarchy.

The Ottoman Empire consisted of Greeks and Balkanoids(Albanians, Serbs, Romanians, Bulgarians etc) in the west.

And in the east of Anatolia the population consisted of Iranics(Kurds, Armenians, Zazas, N.Assyrians, Azeri Turkmen) and Caucasians(Georgian,Laz, Circassian, Dagestanis, Chechnyans).

What happend. After WW1, the Albanian leader of Turkey named Mustafa Kamal, decided to created a modern ethnic state out of the multi-ethnic Empire.

To do that, the Albanian came up with the plan of Turkification of all ethnicities.

All ethnicities got Turkified except the Iranics in the east, such as the Kurds.

And for the past 120 years the Kurds have been pushing back against Turkification policies non-stop.

Turks from Turkey are Greeks and Armenians who were Turkified. They have little to no admixture from actual Turkic peoples.

So it depends on your view on Greeks and Armenians

Turks have tons of slavic, Albanian, Bulgarian, Serbian, etc blood. Their most loyal citizens were Albo's and Serbs

Some Muslim Romanians moved to West Turkey and now larp as "Turks". The point is they are NOT Turks. They are Balkanoids and Greeks.
>>
there are various layers to europe: genetical, geographical, linguistical, religious, political and historical
genetically, some of them are essentially greeks in denial. fair enough
geographically, there is a small strip of land that includes edirne/adrianoples that is on our side of the dardanelles strait, part of the balkan peninsula. not much, but technically counts
this is where the similarities end though
turkish is not an indoeuropean language
islam is fundamentally anti-european
historically, most of modern day turkey was considered part of asia minor
all things considered you could say they are almost 10% european, which is laughable compared to places like new zealand and argentina, that despite the huge distances involved are fundamentally western, european and christian in nature
>>
>>525929687
Nope.
>>
>>525929687
eeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh
>>
>>525929687
The more important question is - Is Europe European?
