Your experiences with this strange phenomenon?

I made the mistake of getting some food today right as a nearby high school let out and I experienced it in person.
>kid standing half-in, half-out of line
>"Hey, are you on line?"
>".........................."
"...You're waiting?"
>".........................."
>shrug and cut in front of him

Why are they like this? I'm an awkward retard myself so I want to sympathize, but even I'm not this bad. They're like robots with their batteries out.

They do this on purpose so you ask questions, and in their head, look stupid or crazy for doing so.

I think it's because they're poorly socialized and awkward.

>grow up in dystopian TikTok age
>the slightest mistake, instead of being laughed at for a day and quickly forgotten by your friends, is instead broadcast to 8 billion people
>it's the first thing people will see when they look up your name
>it haunts you and defines you
>you live in constant paranoia as the slightest faux pas (or even the misperception of one) will ruin you
>develop an autistic flat affect and an intentionally bland personality to be as inoffensive and forgettable as possible
>spend a few decades just flitting through life
>then die from eating cancerous food
I feel bad for zoomers.

I was just asking a question. In complete sincerity, we live in a society.

I'm 34 and I deal with this shit in my office every day. Normal things like smiling, making eye contact, and greeting them with a "Morning!" make their fucking skin crawl like torture. It's hard hiring when nearly every one of them suck so bad in interviews. The zoomettes aren't too bad but they act like they're in outer space. As much as we shit on the WWII generation around here, many of them were extremely humble. My grandpa's funeral was the only time I ever realized how much his generation valued community. Nearly everyone from our little town was there. That's something completely lost in the age of mass communication.

It's not on purpose. You've been programmed to consume and not question. Your "humor" is provided to you by your jew|sh masters on tiktok and includes mk-ultra style exaggerated facial expressions and preprogrammed catchphrases which you instantly include in your vernacular. You're not your own person and rely on validation via social media and will never do anything that isn't approved by your equally retarded peers. You're consumer-grade cattle that will be disposed of when you cease serving your purpose.

I know it's wrong to set the bar right where you are
>I'M FINE, BUT EVERYONE BELOW ME ISN'T
Pretty convenient, ain't it? But zoomers have somehow managed to go below the bare minimum. I was considered the biggest social retard in my entire class of about 400, but in 2026 I would be a Chad
>>
>>525941229
I don't think it's wrong to set the bar where I am. It's the absolute bare minimum for interacting with people (someone asks a simple question, reply yes or no) and if I can meet it, everyone can, they just don't try. They don't even try to try.

Have a new co-worker, he looks around 18 or 19. Has the curly on top, short on sides cut. I was coming off a cold when I first saw him, came out of the bathroom and he was staring at me real hard.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Yeah just coming off a cold. See you later."
Saw him again later and he gave me that same blank stare and asked the same question. I said "yeah just fine."
At first I thought something was up with my face, maybe I cut myself shaving or something but no, nothing out of the ordinary. He asked a third time and I just ignored him. What the hell.

They spend all day staring at their phones. They think youre like a phone. Theyre literally comparing you to memes in their head. "Unc is acting like skibidi right now!! 6 7!!" Thats their internal dialogue. Theyve been consuming memes since kindergarten. Theyre cooked

I mean are you guys planning on exposing your children to the internet? It seems dangerous for people under 18

>Why are they like this?

Covid-era conditioning with zoom calls. On a webcam, especially in a group chat, you aren't actually expected to respond all that promptly to someone talking to you. There's naturally a lag due to the IT but there's a further grace to respond, and even then you're not really looking at the person directly there. This makes not responding immediately or acknowledging someone a relatively socially acceptable thing.
