>>525952719The church cannot commit to any ideology. It can only stand for the doctrines of Christ and the faith of Christianity. It has to very carefully stay neutral in culture war discussions. But FYI, homosexuality and communism are both still forbidden by the church. And are considered sinful. It’s just that under Francis the church tried to take a tolerant attitude to homosexuals (the act, as that’s what it is, a disposition, not an inborn state someone is fixed into). But they were rejected by the homos themselves. You have to realise that the “gay” identity as some biological or ontological category is a myth. Homosexuality is an act. You can be disposed to homosexual behaviour like some are to alcoholism or self harm, but that doesn’t mean you should do it. This is the churches teaching.
