Wonder how long it'll be until this naturally extends to car operation itself.

Enjoy heated seat and automatic high beams subscriptions and patented BMW logo scres you can't find screw driver for. BMW is pretty ironic as the manufacturer that introduced all kinds of software defined subscription enshittification to cars because in 90's their CEO had some bants with Bill Gates. Basically Gates said something about everyone having 6 gorillion times better cars if BMW had developed tech like Microsoft. BMW's reply was kinda hilarious, if they had developed cars like Mircoslop, all their competitors would have cars that are better in every single way possible, but for some reason couldn't be used on 90% of roads and BMW would maintain near monopoly. Also you will shut down your car with start button... BMW was one of first automakers to introduce keyless entry and shutting down engine with start button.

Because it is a forever feature, and demand constant software and systems updates to remain 'safe'. If you don't like it, drive your own Tesla.

This is one feature I grant is 100% reasonable to demand a subscription.

What a cheap company. I’m not buying Tesla or BMW ever. Get this subscription garbage out of the USA. He will put subscriptions for the seat heaters. He probably made sure every system is networked to make people pay. Why not put in ads next traitor to the country election rigger absent dad financial fraud scammer. Send back to Africa

Not sure is that Toyota USA or Toyota as whole? Or has things completely flipped over in last few years. They at least used to be the lesser evil when it comes to anti consumer shit with cars. I know for certain that Honda corporate in Japan has few times intervened in borderline illegal bullshit from their US subsidiary. Probably not because they are good company or good people, more likely because they saw things as potentially very expensive lawsuits.

Basically every single US car manufacturer and US subsidiaries of foreign manufacturers do that shit.
>>525975636
Reliable, dependable and well made shitboxes that will do their job and retain resale value better than than most of their competition. Concepts I'd expect to completely alien to BMW sodomite.

I don't know how this moron got rich.
Nobody wants a car with a monthly subscription on top of a monthly payment
Tesla sales are already down, don't hide features you already put on the car behind a paywall.
