It's getting really dark. Jewish groups are demanding even religious protections be revoked in the case of hate speech. Australians get zero education on civics, laws, or philosophy outside elective units during secondary school. So most of us don't understand that we even have an implied right to freedom of speech and what we're likely to lose once it becomes so qualified as to be ineffectual.The overarching hope is that the supreme court will strike down any laws that break with established precedent but it's unlikely given how sympathetic the people in power are following Bondi.
