I got into scifi shows around 2018 and binge watched all of SG1, atlantis, SGU (fuck you this one was good), then farscape and eventually watched TNG. Startrek is a lot slower paced than the previous one's but the writing was worth watching through. DS9 is the best though, it felt like it had a more continuous plot than TNG. I wish they made scifi like this. I still have to check out Babylon 5
