Is there any good justification for keeping marijuana illegal at this point?

And no saying “stoners are annoying retards” isn’t an argument.
>>
>>526031418
there was never a justification for it in the first place.
>>
>>526031418
>fucking America is more pro weed than we are now
i really hate our politicians

Baltimore.

Legalizing it would kill half the 'jobs' in Idaho and crash the economy here

How?
>>
>>526031418
It stops people from using alcohol as their vice, which hurts their industry while benefiting Americans' health

In my opinion the thing about weed is you never know what you're getting
I think it should have a system of strength such as alcohol. I don't want to drink 100 proof but 8% is okay. With weed is just fun crap cute and stuff they got today is sometimes borderline insane.
>>
>>526032016
Oh and it hurts law enforcement because those niggers need random shit to be illegal
>>
>>526031731
The main strength America still has is the fact we're made up of 50 small countries which decentralize a lot of the power and spreads it among the population better. Not saying we're not jewed out the ass but parts of our system from 200 years ago are still so strong we're able to retain some degree of freedom and autonomy. Like if you don't want to vaxx your kids you don't have to.
>>
>>526032057
If you're getting it prescribed by a medical professional, they're probably gonna educate you on dosage and not tell you to smoke 1g of moonrocks your first time.

it does not. stop pushing these lies

It stopped me, and it's no coincidence that alcohol usage plummeted while weed usage has gone up

Its easier to grow pot else were and if you legalize it every were you can do interstate trade meaning all the big growers will move to like one or two states.

And it now smells like shit everywhere!

So does JD Vance's wife, but of course that hypocrite's not trying to ban her.

yeah sure, but we used to be the most pro weed country for decades. Now everybody is catching up and we are still stuck with the same rulings we had decades ago, which means coffeeshops selling weed thats produced illegaly, ran by nafri maffia's.

So?

Legalizing weed would mean that other countries could export it to us and kill jobs for local pot dealers which would have a huge effect on the economy. There is a reason why the cartel is growing weed inside the US, it isn't busted as often despite having AI powered satelites knowing the locations of the weed farms.

>>
>>526032655
Not necessarily. Trump could just tariff weed like he's tariffed everything under the sun. Other countries have trash weed, anyways. We'd probably be exporting way more than importing, growing the economy.

>>526032719
Alcohol and cigarettes kill you. Those are legal.
>>
>>526032770
So?
>>
>>526032583
Yeah I remember, back in the 2000s everyone talked about it, we were super jealous because weed was so illegal here, in the state I went to highschool just having a pipe would get you a felony
>>
>>526031731
Some states like mn allow you to carry 56 grams (2 oz) in public and have 908 grams (2lbs) at your home (per residence)
>>
>>526032913
Do you think it's the government's job to micromanage your health in a country without universal healthcare? If so, there are a million things that we need to ban and start mandating. They would've mandated the vaccine to everyone - hope you're cool with that. Doctors thought cigarettes were healthy back then - those would've been mandated. Almost like the government's idea of health is fallible.
Also pretty sure it's only a risk for people with a predisposition to schizophrenia and the brain risks are gone after 25.
>>
>>526031418
It's the fucking alkies that are the problem. Ban booze.

Marijuana is psychoactive and triggers schizophrenia, negatively affects brain development, and makes people lazy.
>the brain risks are gone after 25.
No, retard. That's just when your brain is considered fully developed.
>>
>>526031418
It encourages annoying stoners to go elsewhere.
>>
>>526031418
So less than the country? Only losers and degenerate retards do the marijuana. No wonder why zoomers and Gen Alpha fags are literally retarded.
>>
>>526033334
>Marijuana is psychoactive and triggers schizophrenia, negatively affects brain development, and makes people lazy.
No. And even if it did, it doesn't matter - maybe in your shithole country, but we're supposed to be the land of the free. If they don't insure my health, they don't have a say in it.
>>
>>526031418
yeah, it stinks and negatively affects the retards who smoke it
>>
>>526031418
Because potheads are fucking retards. The boomers were right, reefer turns you into a useless layabout (at best). The war on drugs is based. Drug use is a sign of societal decay. I'm fine with not imprisoning anyone over pot, but it absolutely should not be legal. Fine them, and fine richfags enough money where they'll feel it.
>>
>>526033589
edibles and vapes don't stink.
>>
>>526032538
I’ve talked about this a lot, the answer is to outlaw smoking weed.

Our culture used to have lots of laws that just… weren’t really enforced. They were there to discourage activity in public places. A great example of this is homosexuality. No one fucking knows what two roommates are doing, only fags fagging it up in public got hit by these laws (and rarely).

But the outcome was that homosexuality was perceived as rare and distant, rather than culturally relevant.

So outlaw smoking weed with no concern for possession or intoxication. You can ticket or arrest public potheads and communal spaces are kept smoke free.

It’s kind of fucked really, the laws we seldom enforced were some of the more important underpinnings of culture. Now they are over enforced or removed, and everything is splitting at the seams.
>>
>>526031418
“Annoying retards are often stoners” is a totally valid argument.

>>526033655
Do you truly believe that?

I said "supposed", dumb fuck. Before the CSA, not that long ago, it was legal.

Stinks like shit and it being illegal forced people to be at least inadvertently courteous by trying to hide it.

Im 100% for this, ban all substances. No vices for anyone, that would also get me to use my CDL again because then my pay would sky rocket because half of truckers would quit because they cant drink after their 10 hours.

As someone who smoked (on a long as break right now) I 100% agree people shouldn't smoke it in public either at home or smoke lounges. I like the smell, but I guess because im white I do on to others as I want done on to me and consider people feelings before I do stuff.

the only reason marijuana remains federally illegal is due to the ludicrous amount the alcohol lobby funnels into lawmakers. we've already proven how retarded and ineffective prohibition is once there's no need to try again even if it would be somewhat more effective with modern surveillance.

I understand your complaint, why cigarettes should be banned (cigars can stay) also hate drunks so thats why alcohol should be banned. Shrooms should be the only legal drug, mainly because people dont really go out in public when tripping, haha.
>>
Is there a big difference between the health issues and problems to others that marihuana produces compared with alcohol? I don't see a big difference.

>Some stoner can drive high and have an accident.
Alcoholics too.

>Marihuana creates addicts that are a problems to the health system.
Alcohol too.

>Marihuana fucks up your brain and lungs.
Alcohol damages your liver, mouth and and also the brain.
>>
>>526036241
The authoritaritards here will usually say "alcohol should be banned, too!" then stop there. For some reason, they never draw the line further and say that the government should mandate exercise, the vaccine, whatever their obese president thinks is healthy at that point in time, etc.
It's very arbitrary and inconsistent.
>>
>>526035939

If you're in Wyoming, just keep electing representatives that are more concerned with chemtrails than why the state is losing millions in annual tax revenue to Colorado weed.
>>
>>526036419
The biggest problem with drugs is always people doing things they shouldn't do while high that put others in danger, like driving.

Because the cost to the health system to treat addicts or people with health problems related to the drugs, if you think about it people are paying for that healthcare already if it is public and if it is private then other people should care even less because each person pays for his healthcare.

At the end of the day if the majority of people would have common sense when taking drugs, there would be almost no problems. For example if someone gets high in a private party in his house and then he goes to sleep, that person doesn't put other people in danger. If everyone did that then many drugs could be legalized. And also if people had common sense in taking the drugs and not abusing them to end becoming addicts. Just take it in special parties. But the reality is that people in general don't have common sense for those things and because of that the government has to ban things and the common sense people get affected by that. And that applies to drugs and many other things.

My general opinion about drugs, alcohol included, is that you should take as less as possible because it's not worth it the moments of fun they give you to the health problems they could produce in you, specially if they are street drugs. Alcohol is different in that regard because it's production is controlled. And if you still want to take something to have more fun in parties then take alcohol or marihuana that are safer and more natural. Alcohol is a controlled product as I said before and marihuana is a plant the someone could even grow in his own house.
>>
>>526037529
>At the end of the day if the majority of people would have common sense when taking drugs, there would be almost no problems
Probably 80% of prohibitionists would still bitch about it. Listen to their arguments: "it makes you lazy!" "It causes schizophrenia!" It's all micromanaging somebody else's personal life. But God forbid anybody micromanage theirs and mandate the vaccine, mandate social distancing, etc. They're only happy if they get their personal flavor of big government.
They're complaining about the "smell" of fucking THC-chocolate bars and gummies, meanwhile durian is perfectly legal.
