I was a DJ and music promoter for more than a decade. I brought artists from all over the world to Mexico.The current DJ scene is complete garbage where people that have been working their assess off and actually buying music, supporting other artists and spent countless of hours polishing their sound have been replaced by some dumbfuck roastie who decided to learn to DJ 5 months ago and instead created an LGBT friendly persona. They don't even buy music, just rip off entire setlists from DJ sets on youtube and the worst of all, can't fucking beatmatch. Which in digital is quite literally making sure that the number on the right is the same as the number on the left and press play at the right moment.In Mexico, you can no longer have a party in a club with only male DJs, you HAVE to have at least one woman, not all of them are dogshit, some are acceptable but they are 0.1% of them.Meanwhile, you can have a ladies night party where all the DJs are women. And clubs lose a ton of money doing these parties because whoop the fucking doo, no one really goes to those.And again, I know that DJing, house music and techno started as a gay party thing, I know the history of the music I love so much, but it's absurd that some retard can make up a flaming faggot persona and push out people that have spent years working on their craft.In that sense, I hope AI replaces most of this industry because at least that way, only those that actually care will try hard enough to stand out and create their own original mixes and productions.

I know some people and there's been a big backlash against the clubs for the past few years, they'll collect $40k at the door cover and give the DJ $1200 or something. It seems like a lot of money for one night's work but these DJs are thirsty for gigs, they have to eat the travel costs and hotel often times too. Long before DJs were being replaced by AI at clubs, they were being replaced by Romanians and Spaniards and stuff as well.Anyway there will always be a demand for live music in clubs, people who create jams from scratch even.
