I will never understand why people don't just batch-cook on Sunday for the week ahead. Fresh ingredients, healthy, MUCH cheaper per meal, and takes at most 1.5 hours. I saved between £35-50 a month when I started doing this (probably save much more now due to inflation). The 'broke uni' student thing I never got either. When I was a student, I did this and lived comfortably and healthily, even after rent. Stop buying fucking slop, fast food, and takeaways.
