Would it be legally feasible for President Trump to unleash Tier One units (including but not limited to Delta Force) against the criminals and instigators who are causing anarchy in various US cities such as in Minnesota?If so, could this be ordered by him directly or it would have to be passed by your congress?

And history has shown that they have operated on American soil in the past. But as another anon already said, these Federal agencies have specially trained counter-terror squads that are allowed to operate on American soil and are much better trained than they were in the 90's. Marines used to be exempt from the War Powers Act. The USMC also fought in many places pre-War Powers Act: Barbary Coast wars, Banana Wars, Boxer rebellion, etc. Marines used to be a small service, so they could not really fight large wars/ conflicts, just small conflicts. WW2 and Korean War changed that, because a larger well trained expeditionary force was/ is needed to deploy and fight quickly. USMC is also the only service with combined arms air, ground capabilities, and amphibious capabilities. Marines never could do domestic law enforcement.
