They really have no idea the hellfire shitstorm that's about to rain down on them.

https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/us-says-canadas-decision-allow-imported-chinese-evs-is-problematic-2026-01-16/
>>
Its problematic for the Canadians + Big 3 who both have a bunch of car factories and associated suppliers in Canada. Think those factories closing down.

At this point I would guarantee Drumpf personally not giving a fuck after he got told off by a Ford line worker and even being open to them coming to America purely out of spite.

Canada is going to turn into a firestorm.
>>
This will be a slow ramp up. Right now China just has the ok to send 70,000 cars a year. It's fuck all but it should be a good warning to Canadian car companies to stop raping us on small sedan prices.
>>
>>526163461
Should I get a new engine for the GM now since it'll probably go from 5k to 15k soon?
>>
A fucking Civic is 40k now. But besides that, even with the car market being fucked... any Chinese EV is 100% assured to be backdoored to kill you on CCP's order. You're retarded if you buy one of these. This is going to make Israeli Pagers look like child's play.
>>
>>526166655
70k isn't nothing. It's about what Mazda sells in Canada which is a very viable business with a full dealership network. Will be interesting to see if just one EV maker (e.g. BYD) gets it all or maybe it's just split up between existing brands in the market selling in Canada (Polestar, Tesla, etc.)
>>

Chinese EV in Australia forced ALL car prices down, including ICE.

Why would they want to have the ability to annihilate any countries road system entirely? Let's say Chinese EVs hit 10% of the car market. Imagine you're driving to work, and 10% of the cars on the highway are suddenly disabled where they are. How much damage do you think that would cause? Now imagine those 10% of cars instantly erupt into a lithium fire.

China can absolutely rawdog fuck any country that accepts their cars.

>>
Remind me later to never buy a Tesla.
>>
>>526172440
>How would that then work when you could then dispose of the cars and build your own? Why would people continue driving bombs?
Because they're cheap, since Chinese automakers are companies that make autos, as opposed to our car companies, which are really large union pension funds that also have a manufacturing arm, which itself is largely a make-work project for union employees
Turns out you can have a robotic factory just shitting out cars 24/7 like they do with every other engineered product, and you don't need to pay hundreds of Tyrones $55 an hour plus benefits plus huge pension to push one button that makes the robot do its programmed sequence, and to pay for the pensions of tens of thousands of retired Tyrones who haven't worked in decades
>>
>>526172667

Reminder that bringing in EVs so we can ship more seed oil to china is ANTIWHITE. The canola monoculture farming is being done by primarily large factory farms, ones who hire immigrant labor instead of paying the white Canadians in farming communities a fair wage. While Ontario is full of brown people, the auto sector is still quite white in comparison to canola farming.
RFK and Trump take note: As if the fent wasn't enough, Chyna and Canada are conspiring to produce more of yet another drug poisoning americans: seed oil.

>You think people would continue driving rigged bombs because they are cheap? You think the government wouldn't try to ban them either.
They don't need to be bombs. You could just brick them all. You take 10-15% of a nation's cars off the road at the same time and it'd be an economic calamity, same as that mysterious citrus blight that wiped out 95% of Florida's orange crop, or the wheat blight that some Chinese students got caught smuggling into the Midwest
You don't actually have to do it, but having the ability to gives you leverage when you're negotiating for other stuff you want. The extreme example is the mugger pointing a gun at you. How many people get shot during muggings? Really few. Is this guy going to shoot you? Probably not. But he can shoot you, so you give him your wallet rather than gamble your life.
Pretty much everything economic is some level of watering down of the mugger with the gun. If you go and ask your boss for a raise and he can easily replace you, he'll tell you to fuck off. If he can't replace you, and he has to figure in that you might quit if he says no, he's going to give you more money. It's the same with everything, even countries
>>
>>526173520
South China Sea: Built and militarized artificial islands on other countries’ reefs. Airfields, missiles, warships. De facto control of international waters.
Debt-trap: Belt & Road loans, defaults, China seizes ports and infrastructure (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Djibouti).
Taiwan: Constant air and naval incursions, gray-zone harassment, open threats of invasion.
Africa & Latin America: Resource extraction, arms sales, bases, training programs, political capture. Operating in the Arctic and the Caribbean.
Cyber & economic coercion: IP theft, hacking, sanctions, market blackmail.

It's not gunboat imperialism, but that's only because the US won't let them be that open and brazen. If the power structures shift, there's no reason to believe they wouldn't do that too.
>>

The proof is in the pudding. Either the chink cars work, or they don't. I hate EVs personally, and couldn't use one for my work, but would like to see some real world evidence one way or the other.

100% tariffs isn't how you convince me that the chink EVs are garbage compared to western EV junk. I'm in Alberta where we get temperature ranges from -40C to +40C, and a hundred miles is a short trip, not unlike in Australia. Also, EV chargers are few and far between.

Our mains power grid currently cannot support any widespread EV usage, and certainly not fast charge EV usage.

EVs for most of Canada are retarded, and the only thing more retarded than mandatory EV adoption is blocking/banning the least expensive EVs.

Nah. You just brick 15% of cars during morning rush hour and the effect will be worse than bombs. Every highway completely paralyzed, every company missing most of its staff, all deliveries stuck on trucks that are stuck on roads full of trapped cars.
Now imagine a trade negotiation with that country when they have that sort of leverage. Are they going to use it? Probably not. But what are the odds? 1%? 2%? How much of a chance are you willing to risk, and therefore how much do you adjust your offer to make them happy enough to keep their estimated likelihood where you're comfortable? As long as that answer is greater than 0, they're getting more than they would have, and the more of their cars are on your road, the higher that number goes

You have to stop believing your own propaganda.

There is an approximately 60 year climate cycle, and a minimum around1980 (exactly when they started the GW nonsense) and peak temps were in the early 2000s and it's been cooling ever since. We are going into a grand solar minimum, with minimum temperatures in 2030-2035 after which.

If this was NOT the case, Al Gore and Barry Obama wouldn't have bought oceanfront properties worth 10s of millions of dollars.

The NW passage will never be reliably navigable without huge nuclear powered icebreakers.

Canada will never become a tropical paradise unless we have another pole flip, in which case, approximately 0% of us will be around to enjoy it.

It's pretty wild to think about. If even 15% of the cars on the road are made by an adversary and are remote-brickable, which they are, then the maker of those cars an at any time of their choosing unleash an attack on your country that'd be equivalent to blowing up every bridge and tunnel you have, at least for a week or so until they manage to clear enough cars to get traffic flowing again and arrange other transport for all the people who are now on foot. Day 1: millions of people can't get to work, all logistics paralyzed as trucks sit on highways or at loading docks because there's no point in leaving. If your armed forces don't all live on base then they're crippled too as personnel can't get to where they're supposed to deploy from.
Imagine just giving an adversary that sort of leverage

It is completely retarded on their part. 41% of Canada’s light vehicle purchases are American, 50% of all their vehicle purchases are American, and something like 70% of Canada’s heavy vehicles come from America. Only about 9% of new light vehicle purchases in Canada are EVs, presumably not all American, but American EVs were about 50% of exports historically.

So think about what Canada just did. They just completely destroyed their relationship with the country they import most of their vehicles and especially their heavy vehicles from to replace maybe 5% of their purchases with Chinese EVs so Toronto libs could feel like they’re owning Musk. And Trump is absolutely going to twist their arms on their imports they can’t get from anywhere else really, like heavy vehicles, and on all their exports to the U.S. Canadians are now going to have to pay markups on basically all vehicles that aren’t the 5% of the market that are Chinese EVs while they fail to export anything.

Basically, Carney and his shitlib pals just completely wrecked the Canadian auto market and relations with the U.S. so they own Drumpf and Musk.
>>
>>526176688
No it doesn't mean they want to. It means that want the ability to do so should all other efforts fall flat. It circles all the way back to the EVs. The ideal scenario is for Canada to remain Canada on paper only while all facets are compromised from the inside out. The sabotage and potential warfare aspect is the contingency plan for US involvement/Canadian resistance. The headlines would read America at war with Canada or Canadians attempt a violent coup either way, it's genius.

It gets worse. Carney is trying to undo the trade war he started with China (in addition to us) because he initially tariffed Chinese cars at 100%, in order to protect the Ontario auto industry. Trudeau and Carney spent 10 years and tens of billions of dollars turning Ontario's automakers into EV manufacturers, even though it turns out nobody wants EVs. China responded to the 100% EV tariff by tariffing everything Canada sells them at 100%, mostly agriculture, which devastated their western farming regions who are already losing us as a customer and suddenly basically got their exports to their #2 customer cut off entirely.
Now he's cucking on Chinese EVs, which means Ontario's manufacturing is getting a death blow, since the few people who even want EVs and don't want a Tesla will be able to buy Chinese ones that cost half as much as domestically manufactured ones.

It's a good time to bring up the absolute hilarity that, as part of the hugely expensiv effort to turn their auto sector into makers of electric cars that nobody wants, they gave Chrysler $12 billion but forgot to add any part to the contract where there'd be any guaranteed construction or jobs, so Chrysler just took the money and left lmao

Our Prime Minister has his company headquarters in the US, where he funnels all his ill gotten gains, is mutual friends with Trump through the Epstein/Ghislaine network.

Yet we're supposed to believe he's against them, and cozying up to China in an effort to resist the US, or something. Please tell me none of you are falling for this shit.

If he was really worried about the US he wouldn't be making his HQ there or parking big money there. It's all leading up to his great betrayal when he rolls over for the US one day.

They couldn't if they wanted to. They have no oil terminals. They can't even build a simple pipeline that would have to go to the terminals they don't have. And then there would have to be a fleet of oil tankers that don't exist to go to the oil terminals that don't exist which would need to be fed by pipelines that don't exist

Canadians are like children. They don't know how anything works. Ditto with
>w-we'll sell to Europe!!!
No, they won't, because 1) the Europeans don't want their stuff and 2) even if they did, Canada does not have the cargo port capacity to serve the cargo carriers that don't exist that would be necessary to replace the 10,000+ trucks we take from them every day
