Conservatards love to talk about "woke" but they have been used to limit and alter what it was. It's important to document that this was fundamentally a women's movement. It was launched mostly in accordance with Hillary Clinton's Presidential campaign in 2015. Make no mistake - "woke" was about women trying to take power and assert dominance over society. It's visible in nearly every public communication. The key innovation was they attempted to remove "women-focused" as a category and just replace everything that would normally be considered universal with a feminized message. It was about dominance of message, full-spectrum flooding of female thinking, perspectives, and concepts. Even the gay shit was about making men more feminine, most literally in the case of tr00ns.

A core lie is about exploitation in the past. The claim is that women were hated and disrespected and objectified and all of that nonsense. Meanwhile, here is an advertisement from 1974. As you can see the women are treated very poorly and a full-on social revolution is needed to remedy this.
The remnants of this broken movement persist today. They isolated themselves, failing to capture the larger demographic. But they were successful in pushing out other voices from the public space. What this created wasn't full-spectrum dominance but instead a reduction in the quality and relevance of the public space itself.
The strategy was flawed and the program failed in every way. For example, the feminization of men was intended to make men more accommodating to women. Women thought that they could sell female aesthetics and emotional responses to males and get softer, gentler men. That was a mistaken premise and the result is visible around us today.
