Gas keeps anywhere from 5 months to a year in a sealed container. Putting aside the fuel problem, EVs are by necessity low to the ground because of their heavy batteries, and that means they have a hard time driving anywhere with rough roads or sudden dips. Like I said, EVs just aren't feasible outside major cities, and most of Canada's exports are natural resources. Trucks are non-negotiable in crucial jobs based around the extraction of natural resources.
