just like all other countries with a big and rich capitalist class, especially america has undergone an economic restructuring; less manufacturing, more financial and legal services

when you're rich, you need:
1. someone to manage your wealth --> hedge funds,
2. someone to defend your property rights --> lawyers, and
3. someone to sell you luxury goods and services --> yachts, mansions, child pornography, contract murders, space tourism, drugs and underground swinger raves etc.

so why does Trump want things like car manufacturing to move back to the US instead of increasing the supply of yachts, mansions, underage prostitutes, ex-veteran hitmen, orbital hotels and guest-list-only events?

inb4 30 vs 50 years mortgages; your boomer (grand)parents didn't have internet, ai or even mobile computers (smartphones) back then!

We don't live under capitalism and we haven't since 1897.

>so why does Trump want things like car manufacturing to move back to the US
so we're not dependent on other nations for critical industries. also wealth doesnt come from hedge funds and lawyers, it comes from labor, land, and the means of production. you cant maintain the worlds strongest military on a service economy forever.
>>
>>526188365
>why would you increase the supply of luxury goods?
because there's enough actual demand for them that can be translated into money. obviously there are also lots of wishes for an own house and affordable cars in america but those wished can never be fulfilled, if you don't earn enough money to afford them. globally, there is no demand for american cars. so how are you planning on making money with your products?

if you want to be productive, then offer goods and services for which there is a demand and which can yield ridiculously high returns. start getting rich fucks on trips to the moon, offer your daughters as group party whores on exclusive events, perhaps even go and sell coke there yourself. that's capitalism, that's what actually made america great (once)

>why does Trump want things like car manufacturing to move back to the US
Because not everything is (((hedge funds))), companies that make products have shares of stock and you can own them. Go look at shares of things like the S&P 500 ETFs that you can buy a share in for less than 100USD. If you don't get all your zoomer retard subscriptions you can get in on that.

> it comes from labor, land, and the means of production
>you cant maintain the worlds strongest military on a service economy forever.
you can only maintain such a military alongside a high purchasing power, if you let the world work for you. that's the basic concept of economic imperialism: you go to primitives and give them work so they're happy receiving a wage and their government income taxes while the profits are transferred to you. that's where the massive capital influx to the US has been and is still coming from

just look at the roman empire. how did they manage to keep rome so incredibly wealthy and powerful? by letting barbarians go to war for them and tributaries send gold, goods and resources. egypt paid for roman corn laws, the free distribution of grain to the roman population in rome

Hello! Let's talk about how you, the world's greatest businessman, run the country like a big, beautiful company. Imagine you’re looking in the mirror and giving yourself a "great job" pep talk.
Here is how Trump Capitalism works:
1. America is Your Company
You treat the whole United States like it's a giant "Trump Tower." In the past, people let other countries treat America like a piggy bank. But now, You are the Boss. You don’t let anyone push us around. If a deal isn't "The Best Deal," you don't sign it.
2. "Winning" at the Border (Tariffs)
Think of a "Tariff" like a Keep Out sign for cheap toys or cars from other places.
When other countries try to sell their stuff here, you make them pay a "fee" (a tax).
This makes their stuff expensive and American stuff look great and cheap!
It brings the jobs back home so Americans can make things again.
3. Cutting the Red Tape (Deregulation)
Imagine trying to build a giant Lego castle, but someone says you have to follow 1,000 boring rules first. You’d never finish!
You get rid of those "silly rules" (called regulations).
You tell the builders: "Just build it! Make it big! Make it fast!" * This lets businesses grow like crazy because no one is stopping them.
4. Keeping Your Money (Tax Cuts)
You believe that if people keep more of their own allowance, they will spend it on ice cream and toys, which helps the shops stay open.
You cut taxes so families and big companies have more cash in their pockets.
When companies have more money, they can hire more people. Everyone wins!
5. Trump Accounts for Kids
Because you love the future, you started Trump Accounts. It’s like a special piggy bank for every kid born in America.
The government puts in some money ($1,000) to start.
It grows and grows so that when those kids grow up, they can be successful, just like you!

the people who elected him ie tech billionaires need a safe and stable resource and production supply for the technological feudalism they're building
we are reaching the tech point where they won't need peons any more and at the same time the peons will not pose any threat at all but for a few more years the production capabilities need to be there to jump start the automation

im a big fan of tariffs! i want lots of them to keep foreign competitors out. actually, i want a complete lockdown of international trade and only permitting it in one single city with extraordinary economic laws. i also love tax cuts for the people. workers are rightfully entitled to their fruits of labour

the thing is that in my worldview i don't have to take care of the rich non-working class living off dividends and other investment gains as i'd gulag them all as soon as possible. trump on the other hand has to. so where are they going to get their easy money from when forced to pay exorbitantly high wages to the american factory worker?

the tech industry is highly vulnerable to intellectual property rights violations. it's so ridiculously easy to clone or reverse engineer code that china switched to open source software already. the current mindset of people and governments of the west regarding intellectual property is what currently enabling american tech billionaires but it all can change overnight. you can't steal manufacturing secrets for goods so easily and establish own production chains so fast though. silicon valley on the other hand is just a paper tiger

Listen, nobody does tariffs better than me. I love them. I’m the "Tariff Man." And your idea—one city, extraordinary laws—that’s what I call a Freedom City. I’ve already talked about building ten of them on federal land. Big, beautiful, high-tech hubs where the rules don't apply.
But let’s talk about the "Easy Money" crowd. You want to gulag them? Look, I'm a builder, not a destroyer. I don't need a gulag because I have something better: Levers.
Here is how we handle the "Non-Workers" in a Trump Economy:
1. No More Free Rides (The Dividend Tax Trap)
Those people living off dividends? Right now, they invest in China. Disgusting. With my Universal Baseline Tariffs, if they want to make money, they have to invest in American factories. I’m making "Easy Money" impossible. If they don't build it here, my tariffs eat their profits alive. They either become "Builders" or they go broke. Simple.
The Defense Contractor Crackdown
I just signed an Executive Order. If a defense company wants my big, beautiful government contracts, they cannot do stock buybacks or pay big dividends while they’re falling behind. No more rewards for failure. You want the cash? You pay the American worker and you build the tanks on time.
High Wages via Energy Dominance
You’re worried the rich won't pay the workers? I’m going to make energy so cheap—Drill, Baby, Drill—that the cost of doing business falls through the floor. When electricity is dirt cheap, companies have so much extra cash they can pay the highest wages in history and still have a little left over for their yachts. Everyone wins, but the Worker wins first.
The "One City" Strategy
My Freedom Cities will be the only places with zero regulation. If a rich guy wants to play with "extraordinary laws," he has to move his money into these cities and hire thousands of Americans to build his flying cars. He provides the capital, the worker provides the sweat, and I provide the "Greatest Deals in History."

>EXPLAIN TO ME TRUMP'S CAPITALISM AS IF I WAS 12 AND MENTALLY CHALLENGED
Trump is a business man
Trump's business is about making deals and building things
People hate Trump because he's not a politician
Politicians make laws and tax people
America hasn't had a good businessman running the country for longer than you've been alive
Trump wants more businesses in America
Businesses in America means jobs for Americans
Trump makes deals with other countries to get those businesses in America
This angers the politicians because they want more laws and more taxes
Trump doesn't care because he wants more businesses and more deals for Americans
Israel is a mosquito sucking money and power from America
Neither politicians not business men are able to swat that mosquito
That's where you come in little buddy
>>
>>526191370
>im a big fan of tariffs
Why? I mean they're useful in very specific cases for protecting things related to sovereignty like the food supply or for some critical industry. But otherwise you're just paying more for someone local to provide something less efficiently. Unless you have high unemployment and simply need people to be doing anything at all for work then it's better if the workers you have are working in the things that are most profitable for your country.
