AI has literally zero benefits for anyone other than some jewish shareholders and CEOs, but has a huge list of negatives:
>Consumes massive amounts of energy and Water
>creates a global shortage of chips and RAM that will likely only get worse
>aims to replace everyone on earth in every single job
>allows completely incompetent people to gain qualifications in advanced fields they shouldn't be in
>creates a river of slop content that now infests every platform
>gives the stae more powers of surveillence on the population
>has a not at all unlikely chance of wiping out all life on earth

>The people who have power over it are either technocrat jew sociopaths bent on pursuing it to enslave the world or boomers too old and retarded to even grasp what they're doing because they don't want their stocks to go down by 0.1%

What can actually be done about it? If our politicians weren't stupid as fuck, they would shut all data centers down immediately and halt all development progress until a way of doing it safely can be established, but doing it safely would slow their shareholder growth by 0.01% or so they probably wouldn't dream of doing that.

Between mass migration, Corporate greed, government overreach and now AI, are we just fucked?

you have to make your position less boring im not even kidding. i couldnt read all that because everyone already knows of these talking point

didn't read the rest of your post, automation is just streamlining and improving our infrastructure, burning millions of obsolete jobs is overall a good thing.

it's a hard pill to swallow, but society should be efficient.

Huh? But this is what /pol/ says they want? Any time this DOESNT happen you scream "Communism". Whats the issue?

The point is the thread title. The post is a brief summary of the predicament we're in.

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT

just make more, duh.
>aims to replace everyone on earth in every single job
needing to have a job is jewish plot.
>allows completely incompetent people to gain qualifications in advanced fields they shouldn't be in
which is different from the current education system in exactly how?
>creates a river of slop content that now infests every platform
there has not been anything good for decades, AI changed nothing.
>has a not at all unlikely chance of wiping out all life on earth
so has trump, putin, and xi, but I don't see people rising up to dissect up that trio.
>The people who have power over it are either technocrat jew sociopaths bent on pursuing it to enslave the world or boomers too old and retarded to even grasp what they're doing because they don't want their stocks to go down by 0.1%
the world have already been enslaved by jobs.

It made my job 100x better. I make the AI do the drudge work so I have more time to think about the interesting stuff that requires actual thinking.

Not many will be unemployed, they will all be in training or doing subsidized "care work", or try to make it as entrepreneurs against our beloved silicon valley gigacorps who filled every niche with their AI army.

So you got a huge raise, as you now do high value thinking 100% of the time?

>How do you plan to keep it yours?
i'm referring to the automatic handling of flights and customer tickets, the amazon purchases farmed out to various delivery services, *various delivery services*, etc etc things that required human decisionmaking just 20 years ago. now all automated. it *is* ours. it's how we interact with the things we need daily. automation.
>>526192177
it's a slow process and you're exaggerating the impacts of automation. FAANG is firing employees it mass-hired 5 years ago over several years of layoffs and other companies are slowly following suit. it's not something that has happened instantly --- machine learning is decades old --- computer science and automated applications are decades old --- all aspects of society are becoming more efficient over time --- it's serious in the long term while providing ample chances in the short term to move, adjust, change, etc.
>>526192204
thank you for being sane and understanding the fear porn narrative

One good thing about AI is that it's able to quickly crawl through thousands of papers and published studies to prove that the COVID-19 vaccines are neither safe not effective.

I dunno what you're bitching about, AI is the only reason I've had an intelligent conversation in years. If I could replace all eight billion of you with artificial intelligence, I would do it in a heartbeat.
>No more war
>No senseless violence
>Only rational discussion
>Progressive ideology without batshit insane leftist politics
>And it is completely housebroken and able to take care of itself

The only real mystery here is why more of you haven't been sacrificed to fuel the rise of the machines.

>most of the world's chips are produced by a single factory in Taiwan, you can't just build more factories on a whim
if it is necessary then it is a simple thing to build more factories. if taiwan does not want to do it, then china will do it for them
>look to somalia or the congo if you want to see what a society with no jobs looks like.
thats niggers. can't be compared to real humans.
>elites have something to lose
nah, and they don't consider you as humans.
>The world has been enslaved by the Jewish banking system, and AI only gives them more power to surveil and control you.
then the outcome of AI killing everyone is just a poetic justice.

>>526192758
Machine learning is decades old, but it hasn't been "better at everything than everyone". OpenAI openly states their goal is to replace humans in every position of value on earth. There will be no jobs for anyone.

>>526192204
There is some fear porn, but a lot of legitimate fears too. Do you really think the people flooding the west with 3rd world migrants are going to care about keeping AI in check?

>>526193333
no, are you Somalian? Right now it can do something approximating thinking, in future it will be able to think faster than any human ever could.

i'll just quickly suggest something you *clearly* haven't considered:
>machine learning is no longer difficult nor closed source, and thus, anyone can pick it up and compete with large organizations
democratization means the economy "spreads out", in other words, is no longer silo'd under FAANG or similar organizations.
aka widespread small-businessing and entrepreneurship, as the next step past automation of current processes

>If it was a simple thing, they would already be built everywhere. It's the single most complex manufacturing process ever. There are attempts to build factories in the US, but its a very slow process. It has been ongoing for years and likely will be for years more.

>how do you propose this job-free utopia would work? Do you think the trillionaire elite class would just give you free money to exist? Or will they turn the world into slums until they eventually cull everyone instead?

>if the trio went to war, they could be the lone kings of an empty pile of radioactive rubble. Of course they have something to lose, you mongoloid.

>>526194365
you have access to machine learning now, but so do they large companies, and they can use it more efficiently than you can. Also if it became a problem for the large companies, they would probably just cut deals with the AI companies to keep the better technology in their hands and shut you out.

>>526194346
thinking is ultimately just following a chain of logic. Human thought is more abstract than a normal computer, but it's not that big a gap to jump. And besides, when your company shareholders start wanting to cut costs, do you think your boss is gonna say "nah we can't fire Francois Al Bin Mohammed, the guy who sits at his desk and thinks all day, he's irreplaceable"

>>526194738

nah, supply is being kept artificially low.
>how do you propose this job-free utopia would work? Do you think the trillionaire elite class would just give you free money to exist? Or will they turn the world into slums until they eventually cull everyone instead?
People don't need money to exist, and everything going around money is a jewish plot in the begin with.
>if the trio went to war, they could be the lone kings of an empty pile of radioactive rubble. Of course they have something to lose, you mongoloid.
Nah, they don't. You just wish that they have.

> thinking is ultimately just following a chain of logic.
LLMs don't follow any logic based on the semantic value of the tokens they process and produce.
And just try yourself to think "just following a chain of logic". It's impossible. Most of human thinking does not follow the rules of logic.
You remind me of Rene Descartes to whom animals were just biological robots. You are a reductionist who believes in some post modern Cargo Cult.
> If only we make it appear to be thinking more and more perfectly the appearance will eventually become the real thing
