Local kids were inspired by this, formed gangs, and would patrol with baseball bats at night. If you couldn't prove you were from the neighborhood, you got chased out. I live in Chicago, in one of the last mostly white neighborhoods that is slowly changing. Legal Mexicans and Hispanics are generally good hard working Catholics with strong families that take pride in their homes and parishes. Besides some of the young punk kids and scumbags that come with any group I’d take them every single day of the week over blacks. They’re slowly moving in here now with section 8 rentals and they genuinely just diminish the entire feeling of safety I had growing up here, with their lurking and slow walking, hanging around on corners and at local gas stations. I drive to and from work downtown so I don’t have to risk my life on the CTA but I constantly have to be aware of my surroundings even on the expressways because at any time you can come across one of these motherless feral dogs. Carrying a pistol is essential, even where it isn’t allowed as long as there aren’t metal detectors. I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 if I find myself in a self defense situation.
