>>526208853This. For someone like Ian who shoots matches (mostly) monthly, his skills are not where I would expect them. Random guys at my local CC in 2-gun matches do better than him. However, I will admit that has to mainly be because he's always bringing something different and weird to them. I'm sure Ian could be a top performer if he had a really good dedicated rig that he drilled with, but bringing a different set up of antiquated weapons and gear is going to bottleneck his progress. I certainly would be a poor performer if I was just changing my sights every month, let alone the gun. He also definitely has long stretches where he doesn't shoot a gun, and that's not going to help. If you aren't shooting every single week, you'll lose something.
