1984 made a lot of accurate predictions. Only they weren't predictions at all because the entire book was anti-communist propaganda. The whole point was to say "if the USSR wins the cold war m, this is what the world will look like". Well they lost the cold war and it still happened. Most of the world lives under a global capitalist system, not a communist one. And still all this shit is happening.

Once you accept the shackles unto yourself, then the battle is over. The female protagonist in 1984 was little more than a plot point to have the male protagonist's story move forward. The female protagonist in We might as well have been the real main character and truly displays the point of the story and how you really fight against oppression. (Note that she is well written and I'm not just hamming her up due to her gender. The male MC in We IS to blame for the outcome of the story.)
