Almost definitely junk volume anon. If you are going near failure on many sets per muscle you will def take longer to recover. The point is to hit max stimulus with as little fatigue as possible. Cut down the number of sets by a lot and compensate by upping effort on the sets you keep if you need to.

Unironically this, any tips? I spoke with a member who is going to interview me for membership. My grandfather at minimum was a master mason in blue lodge and could have been as high as 33rd degree in Scottish rite. He passed away before he could help me join. My maternal side is extremely Masonic including opening a lodge meaning very high degree as well.

The soreness goes away after the first week, so long as your rest properly. I've stopped and started martial arts training like 5 times in my life and every time starting back hurts for a week.
