You also must keep in mind that throughout history Chinas strength is its huge population relative to the rest of the world, its size and indifference to death of its people on an industrial scale without consequence. For example during the Sino-Japanese war the strategy was to wait them out and belief there would be no consequence to losing 50 million of a population at the time of 400 million. The population wouldn't do shit but die in-mass.
