They are not carrying the F-15s on board12 F-15s were observed taking off from RAF Lakenheath at the same time as 4 KC-135s took off from RAF Mildenhall, which is adjacent to LakenheathThe KC-135s are being tracked heading towards the Middle East, and the F-15s haven't returned to Lakenheath. So the logical conclusion is that the tankers are supporting the movement of the F-15s by providing them with the fuel needed to reach the Middle East.
