Should we stop lumping Costa Rica in with brown Central American hellholes and start lumping them in with White Southern Cone countries?
You'd have to lump it in with a poor landlocked country. Duh.

Genetic testing on Costa Rica has shown that while they definitely have more European genes than other Central American countries on average, they’re still mostly mestizo. Just lighter ones. Argentina and Uruguay are still much whiter. They’re Chile tier at best.
Here is a regular crowd of Costa Ricans. Everyone in this pic probably identifies as White. Whether that’s white or not I’ll leave that for you decide. For me personally: no. By latin America standards: probably, outside of Argentina and Uruguay.
