Will the US posture on the Essequibo region change now that we have ousted Maduro and want full control of Venezuelan oil? China has about a 1/3 stake in the offshore drilling in this region. Previously Biden's softies agreed with the ICJ, but now it may make sense to consider this a part of Venezuela and reap the benefits - the EU is currently getting about 35% of its oil from this small offshore area.
