Not long ago I was arguing with a pro-life liberal on here who insisted that abortion rights were a socialist principle, not a liberal one, because he couldn't accept the fact that his beloved liberalism could lead to something so awful. They love it with a religious fervour. It means they can never draw the line from their blank slate worldview to the commie oppressor/oppressed paradigm, despite it leading directly to that.
