Did you notice that Denmark is at its core a dictatorship with a King from the ancient ruling Monarchies? Yeah, world war I saw the end of much of the royal aristocracy, but the Danish king never lost power at all.

Oh, you'll see lots of statements that say shit like "the king reigns but does not rule" and but has "theoretical executive authority".
But there are special rules about talking trash about the king, and other quiet censorships that really mean free speech isn't real so you will never hear the real truth from them.

So is Greenland really free to choose to leave, or is that just smoke and mirrors?
>>
Beside Danish and German and Nordic kings, he is a direct descendant of Queen Victoria, the king of Spain, and even the Russian Romanovs.

So what? we love Saudi Arabia and they are ruled by a King. We installed the Shah in Iran, king.

Nobody cares? or its deprecated?

The king hasn't used his power in a century.
Nobody gets arrested or even warned for talking shit about the king, but people do get prosecuted for waycism.
Parliament technically has to beg the king for the use of his army but every "request" within living memory has been rubber stamped.
It's uncertain whether Frederik X could actually use his power without getting deposed.

I wish none of this was true but unfortunately it is. We're basically a fully fledged parliamentary republic, as disgusting as that is.

>It's uncertain whether Frederik X could actually use his power without getting deposed
probably not. you cant rule as a monarch without occasionally showing you mean business. literally "not in living memory" is far too long to be taken srsly
>>
>>526328359
I imagine he could get away with it if an actual war happened. Basically he would just fire half/all the ministers and insert competent people. Personally I'd celebrate in the street if he dissolved parliament tomorrow but I am in a very tiny minority.

Danes dont want their slaves to be free. Denmark has to consent to Greenland independence

romanovs were german

>slaves
welfare dependents, and depending on how cucked the judge that interprets the law is it might not require parliamentary approval. Can you just annex them already? I'm tired of this sitcom will they won't they bullshit and I don't want to keep paying for them.
>>
>>526328851
Yeah, well the point is that all the Monarchs are actually the same family wording it over many "Kingdoms"
>>
>>526326879
Was the confederacy free to leave?

This guy has an interesting idea. Sell Greenland and then Denmark uses the money for a sovereign wealth fund. Could get $700B for the sale. I think its a good idea. Would make Denmark wealthier long term
>>
>>526329451
Yeah this is the kind of thing a king could do. Unfortunately we're basically a democracy and most of our politicians are unfathomably retarded and extremely religious; and not the cool religions, but gay race communism.
>>
>>526329697
We'll see what happens and what can be figured out. Trump seems serious about a sale, it would also enable a peaceful transfer of power and control. Could split the money with Greenlanders or set some aside for them. I think $1T is probably the most Trump would be willing to spend but maybe its $1.5T. Greenland could have their own sovereign wealth fund too that could pay out the gibs for them. Hopefully some of the people negotiating realize that a sale and setting up sovereign wealth funds is a good idea.

Well see. You have to remember that you're talking about a government that, during the natural gas crisis in Europe, had its enormous gas field in the north sea down for maintenance (it's sinking very slowly and predictably) and refused to let it open even temporarily despite the 10x price. We are ruled by morons.

Is this your argument for taking Greenland? That Denmark is a dictatorship and we're freeing its people?
>>
>>526328665
Isn't it weird though that Greenland has its own flag? If it's really a part of Denmark then it shouldn't have a Greenlandic flag. Look at Scotland, it doesn't have a flag that shows up here when someone posts from there.
>>
>>526330095
greenlanders will have to go home since USA is no no on illegals. besides greenlanders will be much happier in denmark where there are plenty of jobs and much warmer
>>
>>526330575
England doesn't have a flag that shows up here either. What's your point? We don't have a union flag unless you count the Kalmar Union.

Wow. Didn't know that. The green energy cult is harmful. I see euros complain online about not being able to buy russian gas like they did before russia invaded ukraine and buying US LNG now. But I don't see as much online of euros saying they need to increase NatGas production within europe.
Im hopeful something can be worked out, wrt Greenland, that for the long term that improves things for all parties involved

>>526330656
If greenland becomes part of the US, they would not be "illegal" . They could have a similar status to puerto rico.
>>
>>526331258
I think both you and Greenland would prefer an American Samoa-type deal.
>>
>>526331711
That works too
>>
>>526331258
>They could have a similar status to puerto rico.
pretty sure puerto ricans cannot step foot on mainland without visa
>>
>>526333468
Not only can they, but they're full US citizens and can immediately vote in whatever state they land in.
>>
>>526333848
well, I'm against then and feel like all greenlanders should be slaughtered for the sake of Israel and act as blood sacrifice to ancient Gods for prosperity of American Greenland
