Why doesnt the EU just surround Greenland with submarines & put French nukes on Greenland it would make it impossible for mutts to take it?

>French nukes
which require US satellites?
>but the UK has nukes too
you rent them from us

If we were in ancient Rome, you'd be the one left back home to clean after horses.

Because it's nonsense.
The retards on pol should educate themselves on how the sensor network in the Arctic works.
You don't need anyone, which is why the US used to have 6,000 to 10,000 and now has 150.

ICBMs dont need satellites for navigation

Their submarine launched ICBMs use INS and star tracking dipshit. Their plane launched uses INS and terrain tracking and Galilieo gets updated on newer/est ones fuck you mean lmao
>>

They do actually, the INS position error increases exponentially over time due to the double integration you to reset it over time and easiest way is with satellites.

>Inertial Navigation (INS): The missile uses onboard gyroscopes and accelerometers to track its own movement relative to its launch point. Because it does not require external signals, it is immune to jamming.
>Star Tracking: During the mid-course phase of flight, an onboard camera tracks specific stars to fix the missile's exact position. This celestial update corrects any drift in the inertial system, ensuring the warhead remains on its precise trajectory.

Theres multiple failsafes, they can navigate by topographic maps of the earth or stars as well. Relying on satellites alone would be retarded, nobody does that.

They should do that. It would give us all the justification to wipe brussels, and by extension, all of western europastan, off the face of the earth.

>Launch during the day
>Cant use star tracker
>Cloudy day
>Cant use topographical maps

The INS drift will have it land in some other country kek

You know the missiles go quite high right? Please say you're pretending to be retarded lol

Because you don't have enough to ensure MAD, meaning the only use would be to strike American civilian targets which gets you glassed. You need three things for nuclear deterrent. 1: enough nukes to ensure any attack on you would result in mutually assured destruction, 2: a way to get those nukes to the target and 3: at least the perception of being willing to use them. Europe lacks 1 and 3 while 2 is iffy. There is a reason the EU is not pointing their missiles and nukes at America, and it is proabably to do with the real reasons behind the greenland aquisition that mouthbreathers on 4chinz don't know. Muh Nooks isn't the end all be all geopolitical win button you think it is.
