One of the problems that Spain faces, outside Social-communist goverment not fixing the budget for maintenance of the railway system the last 10 years... Is that the gypsies (romanians and spanish ones, same after all) dedicate all their efforts and strenght to steal copper cables from the railsway system daily. I don't say they have something to do with this accident but just let the information there

At least they are smarter than niggers.
They still havent figured out to take it from our rails.
Wouldnt surprise me if thats the actual reason behind this incident

Why do spaniards always sound pissed? i thought it was because they had to deal with us but seeing how rude they treat their fellow men in the middle of an accident makes me curious

We are fed up of several years of railway system fuck ups between late convoys, broken trains, gyspy copper stealers... We had a national electric shut down for a whole day for god sake, if anything happens we totally get pissed off at this rate, if we kept weilding pocket knives as back in the day would have been dozens of deaths more
>>
>>526340138
So it wasn't a head on collision? That explains the low death count.

Switch to aluminum for the power and fiber optic cable for the signals. Sure aluminum is less efficient but it's better than no cables in place.

Extended information (1 or 2)

The accident occurred this Sunday, January 18, at 7:50 p.m. and, according to railway sources, the first affected convoy was LD AV Iryo train 6189, which was operating the Málaga–Puerta de Atocha (Madrid) service. The train derailed at the switches at the entrance to track 1 in Adamuz, causing several of its cars to foul the adjacent track.

At the same moment, LD AV train 2384, running on the parallel track on the Puerta de Atocha–Huelva route, was passing through the area. As a direct result of the track obstruction, this second train also derailed, significantly worsening the scope of the accident and increasing the number of passengers affected.

The force of the impact caused several carriages to overturn and left many passengers trapped inside the trains. More than an hour after the derailment, emergency services confirmed that there were still passengers who had not yet been evacuated. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos and anguish, with injured people being treated on the ground and passengers shouting for help.

“It’s a terrible scene,” said one passenger, still in shock. According to testimonies gathered at the site, some travelers were forced to break carriage windows in order to get out, while others desperately called for doctors among the passengers to assist those who were more seriously injured.

Teams from Adif, Renfe, Iryo, and the emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to care for the victims, coordinate the evacuation of passengers, and assess the damage to the railway infrastructure. Several ambulances and security personnel remained at the site for hours.

As a result of the derailment, the high-speed line between Madrid and Andalusia has been suspended, and the disruption also extends to the Madrid–Barcelona line due to existing interconnections between the two routes. Railway companies are working on alternative transport plans for affected passengers while the full extent of the damage is assessed.

The causes of the accident are under investigation. Initial hypotheses include a possible failure in the switches, an infrastructure-related issue, or a technical problem with one of the trains involved, although no official explanation has yet been confirmed.

I mean in general but yeah i understand, we also behave like psychos against immigrants who come around here because the gov rather steal or spend money on them than fixing our infrastructure.
At least this accident wasn't that bad, seen more damage in urban bus accidents. Godspeed.

it at least looks like the passenger cars werent too fucked. so at least most of the passengers are gonna be ok
the 5 dead are probably the conductor and guys at the front. the engine probably looks like a crushed can. trains running into one another (even with one stationary) is crazy force

The last time something like this happened in Spain it was because the train driver thought it would be funny to drive almost 200 in a 30km/h zone. It could be that once again, the driver was way overspeeding in a zone where they should drive slowly.

Currently:

That's what happens when a high speed train derails into another I guess
