to me it seems like the only way that canadians and europeans will be nationalist is if they can hate america. and when its against america. nothing else seems to make them rise up that much. like canadians will say they will fight and give up their lives before they will be american, etc...i mean don't get me wrong, i understand why they are pissed off. i dont like how my own country is acting. i hate it in fact. but i find it strange how anti-americanism is what animates euros/canadians more than anything else possibly could. they clearly get some big emotional charge from hating america that they couldnt get from anywhere else.
they just never learn. but frankly the european resistance against trump's future annexation of greenland is just to save face. they all know it's going to happen
