The ex-Mafia boss is Michael Franzese (of the Columbo Family in New York), who has a big online presence about the dynamics of the Mafia, and other related content. His dad (Sonny Franzese) was a leader as well and served 50 years total in prison for masterminding a large string of bank robberies.

I’m posting this because lots of anons have skepticism towards law enforcement and wanted to hear your thoughts on the topics addressed. Those being

>1. Undercover sting operations often manufacture crime
Michael argued that confidential informants can induce individuals who wouldn't otherwise commit crimes to do so, thus manufacturing the crime itself

>2. Law enforcement believes it’s okay to violate the law in order to arrest the lawbreakers
Michael asserted that law enforcement, particularly when targeting high-profile individuals, will sometimes bend or break laws to secure convictions

>3. Law enforcement often measures success by arrests and not by safer streets
This claim is discussed with Michael arguing that the focus on arrest numbers can lead to less effective policing in terms of actual public safety

>4. Paid informants are rarely reliable
Michael expressed skepticism about the reliability of paid informants, suggesting they might be incentivized to lie or exaggerate

>5. The mafia culture promotes men to be successful only through fear and intimidation
This claim shifts the focus to the internal dynamics of the mafia and is discussed with Michael, who offers insights into the realities of mafia life and success

I didn’t really agree with Michael overall. It seemed like most of his accusations towards the law enforcement organizations came from a place of resentment due to his own upbringing and also from his father’s incarceration.

Some Indian guy would probably make really hard if you associated kebabs with him. He’d be like “I AM NOT MUZZLIM SHET SKIN SAAR”

This video is long form and this thread is most likely going to die before I can formulate my thoughts. Such a shame.

Make this thread a few more times this week and I'll get back to you with a coherent thought.

I can tell you're LE OP. It's alright. We all play a part in the grand plan of the universe. You're wrong about Mike though. You guys are missing the point he's making.
