>>526353766>Aldi in the US>Aldi is AustraliaAnd here I thought they were exclusive to Europe, Ireland and Britain.
>>526353766Minimal labor costs, next to no advertising, limited name brand, I really like Aldi because I can consistently get Kaiser rolls there. The other grocerys either are out or they don't stock them.
>>526353766They buy from the same factories using inferior ingredients or make deals to get it cheaper. Plus the duopoly is gouging farmers, suppliers AND customers. Also ALDI has sucked for years always out of stock and if you find good food there's no chance it will be there next week or even ever again and ALDI have jacked their prices up loads>>526353856Because Brits are low IQ barely functioning alcoholics
>>526353856We even have lidl on the east coast
>>526353766Dont know. Dont care. All I know is that it is the cheapest place to shop for the items I buy even though I price check a few times a year.
>>526353856It's a German company.
>>526354100>tf>tpKek, good one raisin skinned bogan>>526354181I know. I just didn't realise the scope of their international presence.
>>526354104They were going to open kaufland in Australia the company had setup and spent billions of dollars on land and warehousing and hiring staff only for our duopoly grocery stores to go to farmers and suppliers and threaten them that they will refuse to do any business with anyone that sells to kaufland Kaufland ended up abandoning Australia even before it opened a single store because of this and for some reason this is completely allowed in this shit hole country. Kaufland lost a few billion dollars for nothing
>>526353937>Minimal labor costsWhat does that mean? Aren't they just paying the minimum wage like other supermarket chains in the state?>next to no advertisingI see Aldi commercials all the time.
>>526353766walmart is just as cheap
I’m the gayest guy in this thread
>>526354321Even when there's giant queues in store they shut all the registers just have one open. They also don't pack your shit into bags and force you to do it yourself off the side. And they have only a couple of staff working at all times in the store. As opposed to other stores with 30.to.50 cunts working at one time
>>526354686Interesting. I did not know that.
>>526354794Yeah if you work at ALDI they have KPIs set so if you're logged into the cash register you have to scan 1000 items or whatever the number is per hour or they give you a written warning then fire you after you do it three times that's why most people throw the shit at you after they scan it
>>526353766Most likely they simply have a more efficient management structure. Big corporations have fucking massive waste in everything they do
>>526353766They don't really stock like other grocery stores. If you want a specific brand or unusual item you're probably going to have to go to a different store. This lowers their costs because they don't need to buy something that only a few customers buy, or had a temporary spike in price from the distributor.Unfortunately I personally have a food allergy so it makes places like Aldi worthless; they have almost nothing I can eat. Turns out onions is likely in like 90% of what you eat if you don't filter for it.
