Recently I heard someone say “erm only 1% of abortions are done after 21 weeks, so why do you even care?” Which was odd since nowadays all people do during abortions debates is bring up rape (0.4%) and danger to the mother’s life (0.3%). It’s strange that the abortion debate has changed from talking about the actual abortions happening to simply arguing only about fringe cases and then acting like these fringe cases apply to the majority somehow.
