1,500 soldiers in the US Army’s 11th Airborne Division have been activated for deployment. The two infantry battalions of the Army’s 11th Airborne Division have been given prepare-to-deploy orders. The unit is based in Alaska and specializes in operating in arctic conditions.

It is unknown whether they would be deployed to Greenland, Minnesota, or elsewhere.
