I never really noticed until I made a new friend who is into something called “collecting”. He introduced me his friend group and they collect all sorts of shit too. One of the biggest is Pokemon cards, they talk about all the money they’ve made and whatever. Seems everyone is collecting something nowadays. I’ve never really noticed how much nerd culture is selling and these things aren’t cheap. Figures, collector editions, vintage stuff like what is going on and why? I also went to a few stores with them and people are paying $100s of dollars for like “rare” funk pop type shit and speculating on an investment There’s subreddits and forums and discords with thousands of people doing this What went wrong?
People collect stuff? What?? How did this happen
>>526384012Trying to give next generations the best of the best of all the, "fun", stuff from the nineties, to relive a very golden childhood in some ways.
>>52638420990s is vintage now apparently
i never take seriously people who "collect" things and leave them out in the open like that.dust is a nightmaresunlight will literally turn the plastic white in contact with airvaluable things should be behind glass, easy to grab when you need them but protected from humidity and the elements
>nerd cultureNo, those are normies. Normies like consooming and pretending to be nerds because they know how to speedrun super mario or some shit.
Secularism replaced religion with consumer narratives and myths. Franchises, characters, etc. are Gods. "Nerd cultural" is a communal experience for people. sociologically this is an ice-cold take that is the psychology behind it.
>>526384430*nerd culture
>>526384250How old are you? Did you really not know people collect things? Are you retarded?
>>526384472nigger
>>526384012> All the money they madeYeah that's bs. It only cost money
The kike successfully psyop'd them into collecting plastic bullshit instead of silver.Faggots
>>526384337This. None of these faggots actually engage with a nerd hobby, they just consoom or at best play vidya or something
