What I really hate about video game sports is what is the point? Like in basketball there is a clear goal, you put the ball through the hoop to get points. The team with the most points wins. These points are representative of their towns value. Entire towns rally behind them for every point they score. The higher score, the more likelihood that town is represented nationally. With national attention the town can raise it's status, demand more economic hand outs and prosper. The points mean something, that basketball going in that hoop gets those valuable ponts that everyone wants. But video games, why? Whats the point of winning? It's not like you get points for it or your town gains rankings on a ladder of other towns. You just play for pointless reasons. It needs a point.
