Pretty embarrassing track record to be honest

Religion isn't designed to disprove science its a ethical barometer. When religions were trying to disprove Sun as center of the universe, it was trying to prove that humanity was the center basically. It was a matter of putting humans first over science.

So it always is, AI, robots, genetics, will be debated by religion and science will push it through anyway. All we can do as Christians is try to prevent the worst evils.
>>
>>526458303
Respect of God is the source of ethics.
Science without ethics is inefficient at the least, and horrifying at the worst.
>>
>>526458585
>prevent the worst evils
A trap to make you choooose a "lesser evil" when it was presented next to an obvious excessive evil.

And just like that...you chose to kill (one Man) to save the city of Jerusalem and save countless lives, dooming more through delay and compromise...exactly what the Pharisees did.

Didnt religion invent science?
>>
Religion can't disprove (((theories))) like
>900 genders
>men can get pregnant
>take 40 vax shots
like atheists believe.
>>
>>526460658
Yes, religious people wanted to know what the world and the universe were made of, what those lights in the sky were, and why weather and seasons happen. If you know why seasons happen, and weather, you can predict them better, and farm better. Religion absolutely created the sciences, and math itself.
>>
>>526458303
Why are you asking religion to disprove science? That's not it's function. Meanwhile the actual ability to perform science needs a good faith, high trust religious culture. Or you get 'the science', p hacking, and replication crisis because morality isn't a proposition. Religion is more of a foundational maslow style layer that once sated in a culture allows that other shit to take place on top.
>>
>>526458303
Oh ok.
Let me try.
Here's a list of scientific discoveries that where later proven wrong.

Ethics predates Christianity by a long margin

So they concocted an absurd, simplistic dogma & told everyone never to question it.

>>
>>526458303
The religion vs science shit is fake and gay, more so because there's plenty of religious people who hold science doctorates.
>>526460733
>>900 genders
Social science isn't real science.
>>men can get pregnant
Disproven by studies of human biology AND life experience. If men could get pregnant, they'd be delivering babies through their cocks and men would start dying of childbirth at higher rates than women.
>>take 40 vax shots
idk what this is about specifically but you should get your flu and meningitis shots

Eugenics and racism and phisiognomy had "scientific" proofs but they were despised by faith . Does it count as answer?

Here's a list of first-world economic societies that do not have a strong religious background for the cause of their success:
1
2
3
4
5
...

Oepsie woepsie, looks like all relevant societies required religion to function. I wonder ((who)) could be trying to now dismantle the backbone of such an important thing?
>>
>>526460344
With argumentation ethics, you don't need God
>>
>>526460344
> Science without ethics is inefficient at the least, and horrifying at the worst.
That is based
Some scientists stated that ethics caused inefficiency to research, but yes, it's a safety check.
>>
>>526458303
So what were the scientific discoveries that disproved god?
>>
>>526460954
Because the average person wasn't smart enough to understand the science. Average IQ back in the olden days was like 80.You can't just spring a holy science on a frankly retarded people.

>the average person wasn't smart enough to understand the science
you say this while they operated trebuchets and cranes, built wonders and cathedrals, mapped roads and maintained aqueducts
our ancestors were not foolish people, you brown goat-fucking retard
>>
>>526461408
The religious leaders were smart enough to understand science. They just repressed it when it questioned their dogma. Case in point, Galileo.

What about a list of biblical oddities that were proven true by science? There are a lot.
