Now so many adult people do Doordash, Uber, Grub hub ect. and its become socially acceptable.When has this become normalized? I was sitting at a table and a grown man said to the staff "I'm here for a doordash". My buddy smirked to me with a look of "get a load of this guy". I just judged silently as he stood there awkwardly looking at his phone.This young adult could have done anything, ANYTHING else with his life but here he is using his own personal car, waiting at a fast food joint or restaurant, then driving to a persons home to hand deliver their food. That is bottom feeder behavior & it needs to be shamed publicly. It isn't a job, you are someones hired servant. And they expect a tip. A tip is earned for outstanding service, like a pretty waitress that brings your food to your table and actually seems happy to talk to you. Not a grown man walking up to a house with a hoodie (no uniform or professional clothes like a dress shirt and khakis) and expecting a $10 tip. No way, if I paid an inflated price, then a delivery fee that's more than enough to cover gas money unless you drive a hummer. Take it up with your boss if you don't like the pay. Back when I was working if I wanted a raise I would have to earn it, and tell the boss I deserved it. I quit many jobs until I got my career in the Auto industry and retired. All because I didn't like the pay and got a better job!
Every DoorDash and uber jeets driver is a scumbag. Have some self respect.

Some people are very simple people and as long as they can fund their current lifestyle they would rather work some basic, easy going job where they get to work with friends, have little to no responsibility, and once they clock out the job doesn't even exist to them at that point. I've known entrepreneurs, i've known doordashers, I've known auto mechanics, I've known machinists, and I've known retail clerks. In my experience people that own their own business or work as doordashers basically live to work. They're stressed out and have no real personal time. Some of the happiest people I have ever met were clerks, janitors, shelf stockers, and basically people with easy going jobs. Some of the most miserable people I have ever met in my life were people in construction, the "trades", salesmen, and basically people with high stress jobs. Obviously people need money to live their life but do not make making money your entire life.

If you do frozen for a year you get bumped up to Journeymen and can make like 28 dollars an hour no matter which role you switch too after. My manager is a zoomer and his second in command is some kid whos been working there for 7 years and they both make almost 30 dollars an hour and they dont do shit. Its just new guys who do all the work but in five more years I'll make journeyman pay.
