Despite inflation and AII looked on cyberpower PC. Pretty good gaming PCs about 2000 dollars, really high end gaming pcs about 5000 dollars. This is not very much different from what I remember it being 7 years ago probably 200 more expensive at the low end and 500 dollars more expensive at the high end. Ram is genuinely more expensive but not crushingly so given how much inflation we've had. Why are people ranting like PCs are 50 gorillion times more expensive than they used to be. Its not as if they were the price of real estate or groceries...

>>526490260Its important to not just get an SSD but an NVME drive for your operating system, thats what costs the most now along with high end RAM - say 2x 32gb sticks for 64 total, kingston fury for example at 6k hz. Theres secondary specs for most of these parts, for hard drives theres a response time, it adds a slight delay to absolutely everything you do on your computer. Mine I think is 10ms, which is very good, 12 is fine, others are far worse. Mines a 9900X CPU with 7800XT GPU, 2TB storage, 64 gigs ram like I said, I paid 3400 Canadian for it in December 2024, thats taxes and 200$ to be put together by a shop.

I just buy a $2000 computer every ten years and have been doing it for 40 years now and I’ve played every game I’ve ever wanted to play. I run pretty much every game on ultra specs for 5 years and high for another 5 years until I buy a new one. For 40 years it’s always been $2000 to restart the cycle with the same exact results.

The real cunt is when you try to find a monitor above 38 inches in 4k, for less than a grand. Pay like 50% of your computers price just for the screen afterwards. I went with a 50 inch QNED for like 750 before taxes, down from 999. QNED isnt OLED or QLED, its like a middle ground between them. LG tech.
