When this song first came out I thought it was cringe and a joke but I never really listened to it past a few seconds. Now that I had time to digest it, it’s such a fucking masterpiece. I’ve listened to it 100 times in a row. It’s easily the most important song made in the last 10 years that pushes boundaries of consciousness. Music has been in a downward spiral, just repeating and rehashing the same old shit. Then this gem comes out. Even if a lot of the Yeezy stuff is a planned psyop, and theatre for the masses to shift the Overton window, the song has a lot of soul. All the elements of the song individually seem like nothing, as a joke. A farce. But they all come together, like the first time Salieri hears Mozart. The symphonic elements sound like lofi Burzum prison dungeon music, the drums like a cheap digital popping sound, a weak bass synth, a weird robotic falsetto voice, pop punk chorus chanting, a Hitler speech, but they all come together to create something truly powerful. Lyrically and artistically it’s a summation of the last couple of years of Kanye’s life, where he’s going and how he got there, the alienation from his family and society, and not backing down because he went past the point of no return. Even if he asks for forgiveness from the Jews (ie pay them off because they don’t actually forgive) it would not take away from the power of the song. “Heil Hitler” becomes a war on reality itself, against all society, social norms, just pure rebellion against the status quo, an almost suicidal martyrdom that makes Kanye live up to his appropriation of Jesus’ name. It’s not even so much about Adolf Hitler or the Holocaust, he is not trying to hurt people’s fee fees for no reason, Heil Hitler is a rallying cry to communicate how an outsider feels to the world, the true spirit of Kalki, an attack on the Kali Yuga.

On a political level, it’s also Kanye giving white people the N-word pass. He breaks down racial barriers while also heightening them. If Kanye West and Nick Fuentes want to hang out, they can, and at the end of the day it doesn’t mean that they have to live and sleep in the same home. We can be equal and separate and still meet in the public forum like civilized people. White people just happened to create civilization, like Napoleons quote on colonialism, but black people can be brought into the fold little by little. That doesn’t mean a race mixing nightmare the way the Jewish elites have envisioned it. Ironically for a song that’s been slandered as hateful, it plays with unification and juxtaposes Nazis and niggers or “niggas” as two demographics who can relate to not being able to fit into the world.
