Explain to me like I'm retardedz, how did silver go up so fast?

demand has gone up, plus Trump is causing a ton of uncertainty due to his severe retardation
>>
>>526695178
the price aint what it used to be (ratio wise to gold)
>>
>>526695178
a dragon came and flew away with a whole bunch of silver, he took it back to his cave and is currently lying on top of it, this sudden drop in available silver has sent the price of the the world's remaining silver up, things won't change until the silver is taken back from the dragon
>>
>>526695178
Trump potentially causing WW3 is causing people to flee to precious metals as a final bastion of safety, after the USD is no longer safe, also due to Trump. China has also put export controls on silver exports and rare earths, limiting global supplies. Silver is also required for semiconductors, which are being produced at a higher rate than ever. Basically a perfect storm for boomer metals to suddenly be valuable after not being valuable for 50 years.

The City of London's paper commodities game is unraveling. Get comfy for $100 tonight.
>>
It's got a long ways to go, there are 1000 paper ounces for every physical ounce at least.
>>
>>526695306
Looking at the percentage it's gone up almost twice as much as gold since the 90s, depending on where you measure from.

I think the ratio is supposed to be 20 to 1, that is what it was in the early 1900s, silver price has been surpressed for a very long time. So if gold is near $5k, silver should actually be at $250 so really it still has catching up to do.
>>
Gold and silver will keep going up until central banks go bust. That's the goal, I assume.

1. Solar Panels that are 37.5% efficient really are free money from the sun when their price bottomed out after economies of scale, and doubly so after the rocketed electricity prices and electricity demand, even after all the overheads and everyone on planet leaned in. There's not enough silver for the solar panels people desire therefore price goes up.
2. You know those blue bricks attached by zipties on top of drones in the combat zone that can carry a 50 pound shell 40 miles? Those put out a Turkish Jiggawatt and the motors are also made of silver to take that abuse. Those are supercapacitors not batteries, each one is basically an ounce of silver. Demand of military go up, then supply go down, price go up.
3. The US has like 40 trillion dollars debt and it's still growing at a geometric rate so it is beyond all shadow of a doubt that the way America is going to pay is debt is by borrowing and then defaulting on that debt which means now Currency Printing must be Geometrically expanding since the entire Haul of proceeds of buying power, doesn't even cover 1% of new Borrowed money. Therefore the price of everything is going to rocket, The Silver price was supposed to be rocketing 15% per year for the last 15 years, we're seeing that stifled move now.
4. Also BRICS, and everyone is stacking because cats out of the bag, the US Dollar is going away and so there's a flight to safety as Blackrock starts offering boomers $5 million dollars for the shitbox they bought in 1955 for 14 thousand US dollars. Bad money gets hyperinflated, good money price goes up. It's like buoyancy the water is pushing on the price, but the object can't float until Judah lets go of his Triple Tranches from Bear Stearns, Morgan Stanley and the other Jewish wire Fraud shops.
>>
>>526695636
Historically it was about 15 to 1, but you also have to remember that industrial silver use is generally destructive so above ground ratios are probably closer to 5 to 1 and new production entering is only about 3 to 1.

If Samsung's new battery tech really requires as much silver as people say things are going to get extremely wild in this market. Samsung what's not able to have its contracts fulfilled by the exchanges, which means for all practical purposes the exchanges have defaulted on delivery. Samsung solution was to skip the exchanges entirely and contract to buy all the production of a silver mine for the next 2 years.

Only paper futures contracts at 100:1 ratio of physical deluded the masses

Okay the fundamentals have been bullish to some degree forever but it was also the most heavily suppressed commodity on the market then the following things happened

1. Biden kicks Russia out of SWIFT, this makes the dollar even less attractive as a holding then our unpayable debt would indicate
2. Basel III makes it a tier one banking reserve (they can dump treasuries for physical gold and silver) meaning banks go long, surprisingly almost nobody outside the big bankers knew about this
3. China after Basel III starts buying everything they fucking can on every exchange anticipating massive shortages between industrial and financial demands, worse for shorts since they want the metal they are demanding delivery of physical silver (still going on and will continue probably till at least 300)
4. Short idiots think big banks are on their side (many surprisingly didn't know about Basel III) and that they will be able to hunt brothers china
5. Get squeezed
6. Some crypto sellers rotate in
> You are here
It goes up even more at least till 300-350.

>>
>>526696375

Basel III only applies to gold FYI, silver is still treated as a risk commodity that has to be leveraged. BUT silver will follow gold so it will still help indirectly.

>Why did the price of silver go up?
That's a great question! The price for silver went up because the demand for it went up and the paper-IOUSilver suppression system to smooth the markets to taste for the people who create USD Currency, has broken down like a damaged vehicle. You can't just write silver on a paper and then say: "Put the metal into my hand" after bringing it to a Jewish Bullion house who again themselves don't actually have the metal they only have sources and methods, ones that haven't been enough to cover needs for solar panels, super capacitors, drone motors, advanced technology like computer chips and nvidia gpus.

China's central banks still view gold as undervalued and have been buying up as much as possible for years now. Russia has not been selling any of the precious metals it produces for years. If this Battery thing that samsung claims doesn't roll out, or is not feasible to scale up, silver will pull back.

This isn't new though there's always been more paper silver/gold than exists physical supply it's just that gold and silver are now in demand including in physical form, but one of the biggest reasons is retail investment into gold/silver via ETFs, as more people buy into a physical gold/silver ETF those ETFs in turn have to buy more gold/silver to cover the shareholders

There are north of four hundred "paper contacts" for every actual physical ounce available on the market. China is exposing this multidecade fraud by successfully holding a >$10USD premium on silver on the Shanghai Index. This has been the case for over a month now. China is taking control of the physical precious metals market. I assume base metals are to come. The result is the Comex, CME and LBMA hold ever more expensive short contracts on their paper silver (DEBT).

In a normal world, you would allocate a percentage of your income that your wish to hold into the future and convert it to PMs on some kind of regular basis - weekly, monthly, seasonally. If you buy regularly, you will purchase at roughly the average price of that year. You can go heavy when it down and light when its high. But that's how it's done; DCA - dollar cost average. It adds up.

In this market, I suggest buying a tube, and filling it slowly over time. A couple of silver dimes here and there. As close to spot as possible.

>how did silver go up so fast?

Its been undervalued for a long time. I bought it as $18 an ounce back in 2018, because it was obvious that it was undervalued. As you can see from your chart I had to sit on it for almost 8 years before it really started moving; but its been obvious it was artificially low for a long time.

Right now you've got a lot of Chinese and other random people buying silver up as a hedge against the US dollar and other fiat currencies so its value has been skyrocketing.

Silver is first and foremost an industrial metal and it's increasingly needed.
Solar has been growing like crazy in the recent years and it needs a ton of silver.
Then of course there's the PM sentiment in general that pushes it up, but even without any memes about the currencies this stuff is in huge demand and that demand is only growing.
Next bubble after AI will be in energy and especially solar.
If you want to make a shitload of money then sell your silver in the near future and get into solar, especially companies providing raw materials for solar.

Anyone talking about how or when or at what price they will exit silver stacking can be ignored. They are failing to understand that the stack is protected savings. BRICS launched a gold-backed exchange currency.
The ratio's pretty good, 40% gold, 60% member nation currencies.
Crucially however, it means that over half the global financial exchanges are moving to precious metal backing. Gold and silver go hand in hand.
It's a sign of political illiteracy that nobody's talking about this in the West outside of a tiny publisher here and a tiny alternative media guy there.
It motivates every single thing Trump is doing right now.

Bandwagoning. Everything's going to shit so people are searching for safe havens to store their money and various precedents and pundits or alarmists simultaneously cry how this is an omen for WW3 or whatever other disaster, further feeding into the cycle. Ultimately it's a pump and dump, like everything else. Nothing's going to happen. Those that have bought low will have the opportunity to sell high and make a profit. Eventually the price will plummet once the AI revolution takes over.

He's fucking with you, realized or unrealized gains only matter for tax purposes because they use fiat dollars as a measuring stick.

Cash doesn't experience losses in this way. Technically they would be considered real losses but zero nominal losses.

The really fucked up part is that you pay taxes on Nominal gains even if they are just an asset keeping up with inflation with zero real gains.

Real gains and losses measure buying power.
Nominal gains and losses measure fiat.

If you have $1000 and just sit on it while inflation goes to 100% you have zero nominal losses, but you have 50% real losses.

If you sit on $1000 of silver in that same time and it tracks inflation perfectly, you have zero real gains but 100% nominal gains.

The worst part is that if you buy $1000 of stock and it doubles, you have zero real gains, but you still pay taxes as if you doubled your money. This is the real cancer of the system that even sophisticated investors fuck up.

no, silver and gold are worth more today. on this day in 2001, the S&P 500 was worth 5.16 ounces of gold or 298 ounces of silver, today it is worth 1.4 ounces of gold or 69 ounces of silver. So the price of silver or gold has gone up by about 3.5-4.5x relative to economic expansion (which should be higher than inflation even). PMs are worth more than they used to be relative to expansionary economic assets.

False. The dollar ALWAYS goes down over the long run. It is intentionally designed like this on purpose, it's not a fluke or a emergent behavior.

I think that even if there a deflation, if all of a sudden the dollar became 2 or 3 times more valuable, that they wouldn't change prices. Once your brain accepts "X price is the norm for Y product," they won't lower it because they know you will pay X price for it.

The answer to your question is yes emdash, very yes.
>>
>Major silver refineries temporarily stopped buying lower-purity silver (like 90% coin or sterling) in late 2025 due to overwhelming demand, record-high prices, and processing backlogs, causing a liquidity crunch where dealers couldn't sell scrap, leading to reduced offers or halts in retail buying, though this situation is dynamic and expected to resolve as markets adjust, with some refiners focusing on easier-to-process fine silver

>Why Refineries Stopped Buying

>Overwhelmed Capacity: Record high silver prices drove a massive influx of low-purity silver (junk silver, sterling), overwhelming refineries' ability to process it.
>Market Bottlenecks: Wholesalers couldn't sell to refiners, forcing coin shops to hold inventory or offer very low prices, creating a liquidity crisis for physical silver.
>>
>>526733108
> One insider shared: “We’ve stopped shipping out silver refiners won’t accept it. This hasn’t happened in over 40 years in the business. Something’s broken.”
This kike wants you to stop buying silver because they system broke after CME kikes demanded too much cash in margin calls. Basically trapped refiners who are required to short for production price protection. Completely rigged game they just broke, and this kike wants to use it to scare you away from buying silver.
