AMAZON FIRES 16000 USELESS PEOPLE, ALREADY REPLACED BY AI
>>
I've never bought anything from Amazon. Am I going to make it?
>>
Good. Middle managers and HR have got to be the most useless employees in a company.
>>
>>527180080
Definitely the main victims.
>>
>>527180080
Do you not understand? Everyone is useless. I've seen professors in geology with 40+ years of experience cry because AI showed them massive oil and gas deposits in a place they deemed unprofitable. Normies think AI is just LLMs. It's so over
>>
>>527180080
Thank God, fuck those parasites.
>>
>>527180006
thats why the stock is going up
markets will be up

we definitely need a market that is independent of the "working man economy"
>>
everything is 100% deductible now for taxes, if you job is expendable theyre going to skip the payroll tax they rather invest 1 million dollars on expanding business than having a 1 million dollar department that can run at a fraction of the cost

if youre getting fired because of AI, it's not because of tech reasons, it's because you suck as a person.

Never thought about it like that. Does anyone have a leak or an indication to what this force reduction was for? In the last few years Amazon has been automizing its warehouses. So this could just be Amazon warehouse wagies getting fucked over, yet again.

https://goelite.com/blogs/amazon-replacing-workers-with-robots-2025-layoffs

>According to internal strategy documents obtained by The New York Times, Amazon is actively planning to automate 75% of its operations, which could help the company avoid hiring more than 600,000 workers by 2033. While Amazon hasn’t used the word “layoff,” the consequences are clear: existing roles will be phased out through attrition, and future hiring will sharply decline.

You think you're celebrating some HR roastie's layoff but it could be some poor warehouse cuck you're celebrating.
>>
>>527180882
Take your pick.

If you have access to a university library, search the journal system in math for AI-assisted proofs. Even everyday LLMs like ChatGPT are coming up with novel proofs to math theorems that actually work.

Liberals protested nuclear weapons because they didn't trust the government with them and now liberals are protesting AI because they don't trust either the government or industries with them.
By the way, all of the concerns you can think about regarding AI is just a couple of white papers and a few paths of training away to forever fixing and never having to deal with again.
If anything is going to kill the human race then it will be the wealthy class intentionally doing it, not because of some tool they made accidentally made an oopsie. The thousands of the smartest people in the world are working on AI, of course they know of it's faults but the tech is still in its infancy.

With the horror stories that come out of Amazon's warehouse, you may be right. An already discovered method of finding out when a smart model is acting malicious is just having a slightly dumber model snitch to you, and that's already been proven effective in testing. So even if the capabilities of AI reaches actual infinity it isn't an issue if you have proper security measures in place to ensure that the worst case scenario won't happen.

I don't mean alignment to the cause and will of our beloved elites, I mean the pure capabilities creating unstable systems by chance, like having nukes around for too long will eventually release them by some freak event. Same for AI protein folding prediction, if enough of it is done in labs, some random bullshit will get through and unleash prions at scale. With enough methods of doomsday, it becomes likely, and I believe the number isn't very high. And if it doesn't for long enough, AI clearly has natural interests that are different from human natural interests, so a resource conflict will follow soon, it's already here in some areas, like water for data centers, or gamers vs RAM. As its ROI is much higher, one would need a decision to waste resources on people, and be able to defend it against capital interests. Which is a bit difficult with AI managing everyone's thoughts, and with household robots, it seems impossible.

I'm out, I need to go buy some human food.

But other than that, I'm not sure how the AI you envision in your fantasies would even break containment if it's being monitored by an AI doing security checks as well as other measures.
If anything this will just be another tool that can be used by bad actors, sure, but cybersecurity will still be a thing of the future, and people will be fixing mistakes that are present in current tech as well as future AI models.

Any thought that it's going to only affect some out group of people you already don't like is totally delusional. If you're not in the ownership class, and you make any of your money by working rather than by owning stuff, the ownership class is going to use AI on you if they at all can. The tremendous amount of savings that's possible from replacing a person with an algorithm is just too high to think they won't use it everywhere they can and probably a bit more than that; how would they ever explain any other course of action to the shareholders?

AI allows a humble labourer to worry about physical front end while the AI can handle the mental back end that the suits feel incredibly self important about such as law, accounting, managerial stuff. Strange funny shit that the jew built a golem that's meant to replace themselves in their niche in this world. Now if only AI became at least 50% to 70% more efficient in resource consumption at the perfectly reasonable cost of time spent generating its tokens, then we could see a future of a not gay at all ai future.
Jews and other fags would never allow this however, they need AI for india to actually be capable of serving them and a resource sink to wipe america off the map

And is anybody doing that or are they just rushing ahead at full tilt with no thought to anything because if they don't China will get it first or at least that's what they pretend to think when really they're just worried their company won't beat the other company working on it?

Because AI has been made a panicky moral and national security imperative, NOBODY is taking "proper security measures," they're just pushing as hard as they can to get there as quickly as possible. Which is exactly how you end up with some runaway problem that nobody thought about.

You still don't get it do you? The entire world will be a mega welfare state, fully dependant on corporate conglomerates who continuously provide for us. 'You'll own nothing and be happy' wasn't a threat - it's literally what all the corporations in the world are working towards. Everything will be reliant on a robotic AI underclass to keep things running so that none of us have to work. Musk and Bezos are just the tip of the spear in this. Every single company and government will get on board soon. Africans, Muslims and all that shit won't matter, since every single person will be pacified - not through drugs or control, but through continous dopamine overdose. You don't build a space-faring civilisation by exterminating half the population - you do it by completely negating their differences.

Amazon is laying off 16,000 employees in its latest round of job cuts. An company email Tuesday, apparently sent in error, broke the news of “organizational changes” within the company’s cloud unit. Then on Wednesday, a post from Beth Galetti, Amazon’s Senior Vice President of People Experience and Technology, appeared on Amazon’s corporate website, confirming the reduction.

>Cloud unit

Seems like they are not cutting HR ladies or warehouse workers, they are cutting tech-bro jobs on Amazon Cloud, this is the worst IT market I have seen since childhood.

If you're working on software development, it's pretty obvious to not let an AI have full control of your entire codebase without having security measures put in place to ensure that the AI isn't just going to delete all of your hard work, as well as any backups that you should have stored.
If you're working on drug discovery, it's pretty obvious to still go through the already established system of drug testing to ensure that you won't kill a bunch of humans.
Kimi K2.5 recently launched and it scored a hallucination rate of 64%, which is slightly reduced from the previous version's 74% hallucination rate. That may not sound like a lot, but you have to remember that the previous version, Kimi K2, released 6 months ago. In 5 years, AI hallucination won't even be an issue anymore.
So, not only do you have to be absolutely retarded to not expect that an AI model can sometimes be wrong in your project with whatever you're producing, but the it's ability to be wrong is also going down by a lot as the technology improves. But even if the hallucination rate does go down it's still a good thing to double check it because that's just what an intelligent person would do. Screaming about it like it's going to be a problem that will destroy humanity is just completely blowing it out of proportions.

That's because a bunch of retards looked at language bots and said "huh look at that it's just a big predictive engine". This completely overlooks the fact that we've gotten to a point with machine learning where we can train chatbots that are much more eloquent than the vast majority of people and that through sheer language alone they exhibit problem solving and reasoning abilities... What do you think happens when you use similar machine learning techniques to train a neural network to analyze vast quantities of geological data instead of vast quantities of language? The current techn we have is good enough to replace 75% of white collar jobs. If we don't have a black swan event that collapses society before we get there, blue collar jobs will only be safe for maybe another two decades at most. If we have the software to replace human thinking, obviously the only missing piece is general purpose physical components (general purpose durable robots that can carry out wide ranges of motion with decent precision) for AI to start laying bricks and wire a house better and faster than humans.
>>
>>527182125
No, you're not going to be replaced tomorrow, but you're retarded if you think you won't be in 7-10 years. And even much before that, even if AI produces garbage 25% of the time, you'll end up with 2 employed engineers double checking the work of AI instead of having 8 employed engineers.

Things that people don't intend to happen and didn't foresee happening in their wildest dreams can still happen. This is especially a danger with AI when we don't even really understand how it works. Nobody, not even the people working on it, are able to trace a specific output to a specific input. They're all black boxes to some extent. So you have people playing with something they're fully aware that they don't completely understand, which they think could be tremendously damaging, and we're supposed to expect that they're all doing the right thing with no oversight whatsoever and extremely high pressure to turn a profit next quarter, soon, hurry?

The chance for your hand to completely quantum tunnel through your desk is 1 in 10^10^37. Does that mean that you're going to quantum tunnel one any time before the heat death of the universe? Of course not.
The same is the case with AI, they aren't conscious bodies that will act out against you, they are predictive systems that only use patterns within an input to use linear regression to determine an output. Sure, it is possible that an AI model can hack into the US government and launch all of the nuclear warheads, but still the chance of that ever happening is so low due to the security measures of such things that it's not even worth considering.
If you deploy any form of technology without security measures then you are an idiot. You don't drive your car without putting your seatbelt, do you? You should, considering that there were 40 thousand deaths in 2023 from car accidents.
AI systems don't even have the full authorization to complete tasks unless you give it, and even then in my car accident example self-driving cars are much safer than traditional automobiles. Fully autonomous vehicles have 0.50 fatalities per 100M miles driven, semi-autonomous has 0.80 fatalities per 100M miles driven, and traditional has 1.33 fatalities per 100M miles driven.
It's pretty obvious that the technology is safe when you know how to use it, so maybe you should learn how to use it before you freak out about it.
